you are playing on public servers not pro servers

please name hc pros :)

Who are the so called pros in this game anyway.

Cause tbh this game has to much inconsistency (something like that) and client-side derping and flaws (not being able to get a shot on target behind boxes, fences, stairs at bazaar etc) to be taken serious enough for esports.

It's made by DICE which is why it isn't taken seriously, they don't know how to balance games, as they've happily re-proven with the fiasco of BF3 patching.

But if it were, do you think they would play normal or nubcore? considering mechanically theres no difference between either mode in any game except normal requires better / more consistent aim where nubcore does not.

Always comical how the hardcore/softcore debates tend to fall into elitism and general snottiness.

Both modes use different skill sets. I personally have my preference but as has been proven time and time again, nobody that prefers one mode will be convinced that the other mode is better.

But I guess this is a forum so we should probably carry on hitting our heads against the brick wall anyhow.

Don't know if you class EuroDom as competitive gameplay, but i played like two matches on there for TFU in BF:BC2, and it didn't feel like you could take the game seriously, as in you couldn't really become competitive like you can/see with games like CS, i see Battlefield as more of a doss than anything.

Yeah. I don't think anyone could really argue that there is a serious competitive scene or a high skill cap for either this or BC2.

The latest game server update has completed internal QA, and has been sent out to all the RSP companies. They are doing small-scale testing of it during the evening.

If no problems are reported by the RSPs, then the companies will gradually roll it out over the next few days, starting at 10:00 UTC on Thursday Apr 19th.

This update is addressing some gameplay bugs that have been reported since the latest big client+server update. Also, there are some minor improvements to the RCON interface.

The master servers will remain available; Battlelog will remain available.

Changelist
* Fixed AA missiles not doing damage to vehicles moving at very high speeds
* Fixed TV Missile doing much more damage than it should (it is no longer a 1-hit kill)
* Tweaked tank armor strength
* MAV elevatoring fix, round 2; proning on the MAV will now disable it
* RCON admin.say command can send to individual players
* A few invalid map+gamemode combinations in maplist.txt could crash the server on startup; these combinations are now rejected instead
* RCON vars.serverDescription was not returning anything in R20 if the string was not set; this has been changed to return “” instead
* RCON player.onChat now reports the target player subset

Why? Seriously, who cares?

It's obvious you've got a chip on your shoulder about being a 'pro' player and cant wait to have a dig at HC players all the time - I don't think I've once seen you mention HC mode without some sly or subtle attack on it. You don't like it, we get it, but lots of us do. I don't care much about how good I am at the game, I play for the experience, not to prove to people like you how "skilled" I am by your definition of what constitutes skill.

Stop calling everyone who doesn't play the game the way you like it low, unskilled, nabs, or whatever. Just because you say it, doesn't make it gospel and it's getting tiring.

Tbh Westie, im running the game on the exact same settings as i was before the patch, a fresh install of both win 7 64 and bf3 on a 120gb ssd. Fps never dip below 65, (using afterburner frame limiter). My connection isnt great i know, bt option 3. But even later at night during off peak hours, it still feels very choppy, ive experimented with lowering settings, tweaking the network slider etc, but the game just doesnt feel like how it did pre patch.
