Had a few rounds last night, (first time in a while). Still suck at conquest.
But had an awesome fun tdm round. Maybe not the most popular mode, but im wondering if anyone can reccomend any decent uk based tdm servers.

It is the biggest problem with this game. I have never encountered this problem anywhere as much with other multiplayer games (and I have played A LOT of games on a variety of platforms for many years now.......)
Have tried many servers (well the decent ones that don't have instant vehicle spawn, tons of tickets, only 1 or 3 maps on rotation, non premium etc.)
I just don't see where the fun is in an easy win or when you're getting slaughtered?? And before people say I am a sore loser or whatever, my w/l ratio is 1.69 and the rest of my stats are pretty good.
So either this game is seriously broken with the balance system or admins are stacking teams a lot more these days.......
The funny thing is, I don't encounter landslide wins anywhere as much with the CQ maps.........
I want to LOVE this game as lets be honest there isn't a better FPS out there at the minute ("technically") but when you have the above and then combine it with poor server choices etc. it just makes you hate it
And what is even more annoying is that DICE spent their entire ****ing time adjusting weapons mostly even when there was no need and instead they could have been fixing/improving the more important issues like the above, vehicle balance (especially when it comes to aircraft) etc.

odd games i like on bf3 but i just end up uninstalling it and playing something else.

I haven't played for months, uninstalled it as well. Could re-install and do an m320 duo, worlds quickest kick/ban?

That's because Battlefield has such a high skill ceiling.
Being a good infantry player ? No problem, plenty of those. A good infantrylayer and agood tank player ? Yep possible just look at xfactor. A good infantry player, a good tank driver and a good heli pilot ? Hmm possible but much rarer.
What about a good infantry player, tank driver, good heli pilot, good heli gunner and a good jet pilot...it just doesn't happen.

I've pretty much reached the skill ceiling in all vehicles but I can't compete with the top 16 Flabslab
Dog fighters as I just cba to put in the hours now as bf4 is out soon...
And xfactor is nothing special nor is lvlcap...

Agreed, though id prefer a .50 cal sniper rifle, or something like the cheytac m200 for ultra long range shooting.There better be an M40A5 in BF4

We are usually on at the normal hours of the evening and the server is pretty full most of the evening too.
The only rules are no bunnyhopping, and no baserape. oh and if people start to get abusive they get kicked too

The problem you got Nexus is that because of the premium verse vanilla BS you are missing out on some of the best servers and potentially best players, let me explain my meaning. Battlefield 3 vets/addicts would have mostly upgraded to premium plus dlc's leaving a lot of casual/noob players and those not prepared to buy the premium content to compete in vanilla so it might be the case that noobs who have bought the game fairly recently or play infrequently because its cheap are stacked up against hardened warriors who have much more experience who dont what to buy premiun. (Most servers in BF3 select premium only players from what I see in my server search)
I also would say on the servers I play PHX TALAH there is a greater volume of skilled verse noob players so it averages out far better mostly... Admittedly last night I was playing with a team of mates and we were like velocoraptors hunting in packs running and collective gunning 1000 vs 500 tickets, but we were in a different class........Other times that team would be divided and pitched against each other for a battle right to the bitter end and sometimes the difference is down to a single death (tdm) and the score ends up as 999 vs 1000...Which is almost a relief when the game actually ends, simply because of the intensity of battle and the heat generated by my system....plus my eyes, ears and brain need a rest (intense concentration!!!)
Roll on 6pm again (BF3 and Shogan 2 Fall of The samurai beckons)
i think that the higher the standard of players the more likely they are to make an effort to turn around a losing situation, and the more likely they are to succeed.
so i think dmferret has a point about playing on non premium servers with a higher percentage of casual and new players, will lead to more landslides.
that saying i think the server i frequent the most is not a premium server, and although you get landslides on there i have had plenty of matches go down to the wire, and they more than make up for it.
i think some maps cause the landslides due to a team getting pushed back too far and not being able to counter attack properly (Metro of course)
the more open the map the easier it is to keep counter attacking and turn around a game even after you have been losing badly.
the DLC maps are a little better for this than the vanilla maps i feel.
