The animation is contextual, crouching in the open will look different to crouching against a wall waist high, which will look different to crouching against a much higher wall, which will look different to crouching near a corner etc.

New screens are win, can't wait for GDC.

I presume it will be something like the KZ death anims but with couching etc

Now I wonder if any of these stances or such are actually in the game, they did mention a really nice new system for animations but I guess simple things such as kneeling won't be one same animation but varied, as the picture above shows, but one guy is kneeling hunched over. Probably just renders but close to what we can expect?

But most early pictures of games do it anyway, just to showcase.


SP gives them lots of places they can take "in game/gameplay" screen shots with unique animations /actions of npcs in them.
 
seriously is that the real game play ?! looks amazing

will cripple the consoles though and be running blury low res no doubt with no aa and no hbao and little of the new amazing ambient light stuff
