Meh, I was hoping for dice to take their describable terrain to the next level with having a large city that you could take down buildings in.

This just looks like mw/bf2 but with better graphics, lets hope this is from sp only and the mp is a different beast :(

Isn't being safe, saving money and seeing how it runs THEN spending money if you need to? :P Lots of games coming out now still run perfectly fine on older cards near or at max, lack of a few notches in AA.

DICE has warned its rivals in the military shooter space that it's "here to win" with Battlefield 3 - and accused some of its competitors of "treading water".

The studio sent out a gameplay trailer of the game this afternoon, which has already set the internet ablaze with positive comments.

It also confirmed plans for pre-order incentives and a Limited Edition of BF3, which is set to release for 360, PS3 and PC in the autumn.

"We are gearing up for a fight and we're here to win," said Karl Magnus Troedsson, General Manager, DICE.

"Where other shooters are treading water Battlefield 3 innovates. Frostbite 2 is a game-changer for shooter fans. We call it a next-generation engine for current-generation platforms."

Executive producer Patrick Bach added: "We wanted to create the most immersive and emotionally powerful Battlefield game ever and we needed new technology to deliver on our vision.

"Battlefield 3 preserves the franchise's signature sandbox style and even brings back classic fan favourites like jets, going prone and 64-player multiplayer on PC."

Oh my. Those vids give me the same feeling like I did going from BF2 to BC2. I was blown away. This...........this just looks almost real it is that awesome! :cool:

Wonder if it will utilise a hex core processor more than a quad?

Not really wanting to burn too much more cash on my rig to run this. Thinking hex core Phenom II and another 5870 to crossfire.

Looks good. Just wish I never knew about it, Winter 2011 seems a long way away at the moment.

I hope this is a true sequel to BF2. That game entertained me for 1500 hrs (sad I know). While BC2 bored me after a couple nights playing, just no depth to it, strip away the pretty graphics and fantastic sounds, it just isn't very good in my opinion.
