Battlefield 4 - Performance FIXES Thread (Good or Bad)

Duno tho task manager isnt too bad if u have a 2nd mon to see if it spikes to 100 too much. My 3570k never spiked it kept to about 90 max i think or 85.

Still very high during a game:

Just tried running everything on Ultra:

Frames: 3589 - Time: 108609ms - Avg: 33.045 - Min: 25 - Max: 40

It actually performed better than I thought it would.

Looks like what my task manage was showing. I dont care if it is that high as long as its smooth which it is. Least its getting used instead of not being used properly.

Not too bad here on my modest rig. Definitely smoother and playable on medium settings. Maybe not cancel that pre-order after all.

Apologies to Nexus.

I get so into the game that I don't read the chat. :p

I'm far too Ramboesque. I start out squading up but then I find myself lost in the game and going alone. I really should be more bothered about getting killed as well. I just rush into situations and seem quite happy to get killed by a tank as long as I get one or two hits with a grenade. :/

I'm also getting a respawning bug where I have to press Esc to respawn after I've been killed.

Ooops, last post in wrong thread.

I've started getting a slight stutter after today's patch.

It seems to happen mainly when I'm running every 3 or 4 seconds.

Running very nicely after the latest update. Ultra with x4 msaa, post off, HBAO on, 1920x1200. i7 4770k @4.5ghz, stock sli gtx 670 wf x3's.

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
14350, 180000, 49, 132, 79.722

Still getting a little stuttering in vehicles and cpu spikes on the perf overlay. But overall it's much smoother.

Nice un Petey,:) always knew things would be grand on i5 cpu's. Would be interesting to see though how many people have upgraded. Nothing like the hype of a new big title to get people blowing silly amounts of money.:D

Indeed.
I'm sure an i7 would be advantageous in some way with a single gpu in this game, but it definitely isn't a necessity as some have claimed.
If it turns out anything like bf3 i cant honestly see it mate. Ive played it on the following cpu's, i7 920, 3570k, 3770k and now the 4770k. With one gpu i couldnt see/tell any difference whatsoever.

You're probably right, though this does seem to be a bit more stressful than BF3.
Other maps with weather and stuff could take advantage of extra threads maybe?

Look, I'm grasping here... :D :o
