Battlefield V performance

I think you are somewhat mad. Instead of saying thank you for sharing, you allow yourself to be arrogant to the heaven.
Yes, the first thing when I came upon the video was to watch it. And the difference with you is that I saw the tremendous life-like gameplay.
The thing that you saw was that minimums go to the 40s...

I have nothing more to discuss with you.

Small blessings. :D

Just turned future frame rendering on and had a quick game, fps has shot back up to around 60fps :) get some small dips but its back to being decent :)

Performance for me is still crap.

DX12 is smoother but with more major stutters. DX11 overall is better but I definitely feel micro stutter.

I guess the only recent thing I've added to the PC is MSI AB. I am using the automatic OC settings.

All other games are fine but BFV is a bit messy.

Hi.

Just been reading this thread since I'm thinking of upgrading my GTX 1070 to an RTX 2080 before the free BFV offer runs out.
I was disappointed to read that micro stuttering occurs in BFV, something I also experienced in BF1 but only when I first upgraded my PC to the "Windows Creators update" about 18 Months ago. When I researched this, a number of Nvidia card owners were also experiencing the problem with the later version of windows 10.
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1004600/

It seems that the same problem has carried over to the latest generation of cards which is shocking given the price consumers are being asked to pay. There are lots of theories and debates on the issue discussed in the above thread but no definitive fix or even whether the problem is fundamentally an Nvidia or Microsoft one.
For my part, I rolled back Windows 10 to 1607 which fixed the problem immediately and I have never upgraded since.
I know this is not an option for everyone, but my PC is a gaming rig and I was not prepared to put up with the stuttering.

Is it supposed to be improved? Only had a quick 10 mins trying it earlier but was miffed no DLSS still :) so left it for today.

Still no dlss? what was the patch then? was hoping it would be the dlss patch, that's poop lol

Battlefield V update patch next week on 12 February will have DLSS support and further DXR optimizations.

PC-Specific Improvements

• This update includes further optimizations to DXR ray tracing performance and introduces NVIDIA DLSS to Battlefield V, which uses deep learning to improve game performance while maintaining visual quality.

Have you looked at the whole "EmptyStandbyList" issue?

First time hearing about this. What is it?

Windows 10 have had a bug for ages now that causes the Standby memory to fill up over time without clearing it. Funny thing is that even if you still have available ram left you can still get stuttering as the standby memory fills up. Now it doesnt seem to affect everyone the same(perhaps due to individual perception levels) but there is this program you can get called EmptyStandbylist that you set up as a task to be run every 10-15 minutes that will keep the memory nice and clean automaticly. I use it and it have fixed my issues with stuttering. There are other ways but i haven't researched them much as this specific one works just fine for me. Why games stutter even when memory isn't filled to the max I really don't know I just know that this fix has worked for me in conjunction with "Disable fullscreen optimization".

Link here to reddit for instructions on how to set it up. Minor note though, i would set it up using @start up instead.

Where are the new maps and guns in this game?

The guns being locked behind those achievements (timed) as well is a terrible mechanic. I don't have the time to grind the guns. I might have a quick 30-60mins here and there to dip in to the game. (Once a week)

Also another patch already? Didn't the last one just drop?

DLSS option is in BFV now which for now you will have to set manually (GFE won't recommend it enabled yet). No new driver yet though which I kind of expected to have so maybe in the next few days.
Gave it a quick try and definitely some shimmering/flickering when looking at some puddles so needs more work. Unable to check FPS as PrecisionX1 (the POS that is is :) ) I can never get working to show FPS in BF5 these days. Will try again later.

All good here. DLSS option is only accessible @ 4k. Only had 30 minutes or so in campaign but initial thoughts are good, Getting over 60fps at 4k with DLSS and DXR on Ultra is a welcomed improvement as this was only achievable @ 1440p

DLSS works for me at 1440P. Unable to verify impact on FPS atm. Might have to try Afterburner - PrecisionX1 gets on my manboobies

Same here... I'm getting a pretty consistent 60 FPS at 4K with DLSS and DXR on Ultra.
