What I find most annoying about the 5Live feed is that the engine noises you hear don't sync up with the TV pictures. It's a minor thing, but I find it really distracting.
I don't think that would work. Two ex-drivers together? The reason that Murray and Martin worked was that one was an ex-driver and the other a really enthusiastic, knowledgeable F1 fan. Having Brundle and DC would give us too much of one kind of commentary and not enough of the other.Coulthard tipped for F1 race commentator role

I think Anthony Davidson's good in the free practices so they should give him a go. he has a really good style thats quite informative
Yes, he is good, but again, in the expert role next to another commentator (Crofty). When Brundle retires I think BBC should replace him with Davidson.
But they should definately avoid 2 drivers as a comentary team.
When Brundle retires in about 20 years, I'm sure Davidson will have moved onto other things.
DC commentating, but we would learn so much about how great red bull are!
And RBS.Bit like if it was Jackie Stewart, he would mention the BRDC every sentence.
According to reports in the British press, Martin Brundle has been promoted to lead commentator on the BBC's coverage team.
Speculation has been rife for some time that the contract of current lead Jonathan Legard will not be renewed after two years in the position.
Brundle, who has served as an analyst alongside Legard, began his career alongside commentating great Murray Walker and now looks set to step up to the position of chief man behind the microphone, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
Former McLaren driver David Coulthard is the man touted to step up into Brundle's position, with the Scot having performed the role of paddock commentator in 2010.
Coulthard recently confirmed that he was in talks with the Beeb, but did not elaborate as to the exact nature of the discussions.
i just cant see one tech guy as another when he clearly knows the answer mid race.
What does this mean?
Im not convinced it wont work, even though its unconventional not to have a seasoned commentator
