'BBC considering ditching Legard'

Does this mean we'll see an end to "Red bull from red bull from mclrarn from ferrari" kind of speak? Either I never noticed it with previous commentators or Ledgard did it in a way that I not only noticed but hated.

FOM indicated that HD would be available to the broadcasters in 2011.

Hell yeah!

Hope so. I hated that. What's wrong with "leading", "in front of" or "ahead of" etc?

Maybe MB/DC will be a good combo, but I have a horrible feeling there will be a lot of...

"oooh look at the redbulls martin, aren't they so pretty, they go round and round oh so fast, and there's some other cars too, but they're not so good"

Didn't we say that about Fat Head...

And it's still correct. It's just that Legard wasn't necessarily the answer. I'd still gladly take Legard stating the bleedin' obvious over James Allen and his own special brand of Lewisteria.

As long as the R5L commentary option stays in place on Freeview it's all good. At least then there's somewhere to retreat to if the Brundle/DC pairing isn't much cop.

Dear lord...I hope RBR cars aren't fastest again, otherwise we shall never hear the end of it. If Vettel manages to get ahead and races ahead, DC will repeatedly remind us that Vettel is X seconds ahead of the rest, in the best car on the grid.

Give DC a chance, I say. Then make up your mind. I would've preferred the combination of Croft and Davidson as they are fantastic together, whenever they comment on the practise sessions. Personally, I think both of them are better than Brundle and don't understand why BBC are so scared to step on Brundle's toes.

Why don't BBC simply move the 5Live team over to comment on BBC TV. Its a commentary team that most people tend to like.

Just use the red button :)

I'm glad in a way that Crofty and Ant will still be on five live for all sessions, had they moved to BBC then we'd have someone new for the practice sessions.

Boo :( Glad Legard has gone, but think this will be a car crash (narf). Will give it a try, but will have to redouble my efforts to find out where my red button 5 live commentary option has gone.
