Watched a bit of the Superbowl. It strikes me as 4 hours of advertising with occasional breaks to watch the odd bit of American Football. Only on the BBC you don't get all the over the top American adverts, you just get a studio of presenters who know little about NFL scrabbling for things to say.
The fact that every camera view seems to be individually sponsored on American sports annoys me though.
"now lets look at the Zinger Replay! And over to some shots from the Gatorade Hele Cam, before we go back to the Pepsi Pit camera for some words from our sponsors..."

same for nascar imo.
. Most of the major sports have either very short quarters/halves or whatever or with baseball multiple innings that generally dont last that long on average. Plenty of time inbetween those to shove an advert break in unlike what happens in F1 and to a lesser extent football...
