Typical OCUK multiple "Button fluked his title" posts - which aren't deemed trolling... then one Hamilton post and the fan boys get their knickers in a twist. Somethings never change.
Shots fired
If you think Glock slowed down on purpose, you're beyond saving.
Its official. There are no non-trolling posts left in this thread.
Or this forum tbh.
To finish 1 point ahead of Massa, who is rated behind Kimi, Jenson, Seb, Lewis, Nico, Valterie, Fernando, Ricciardo, Webber etc. etc. is prettttttty embarrassing.

Hamilton was penalised (wrongly) at SPA though, so should have beaten Massa by a much wider margin anyway!
Presuming much? I am a fan of Senna, Schumi and Lewis but just trying to point out smr's obvious hate.
To answer your question above that was also embarassing but smr said we need not look further than the 2008 title for embarassing title wins so picked the first incident that came to mind.
Indeed, people don't rate Massa highly at all on here yet Hamilton only won that title against him due to Glock slowing down on purpose at the last corner of the race. That's the only thing I think of when I think back to Hamilton's title winning year - that Glock move.
If anyone's world championship has ever been sealed in an embarrassing fashion, one need look no further than 2008.
Plus the fact that he finished a minimum of 23 points ahead of anyone else…
However, this is why it's so hard to compare drivers based on points. Massa had three DNFs in 2008 to Hamilton's one and Massa won six races to Hamilton's five.
It doesn't tell the whole story of either driver… Hamilton had the pit-lane collision, Massa could have DNF'd twice in Melbourne on his own volition before his engine failed… if you've got the inclination you could argue either side until the cows come home.
You can go deeper than that too.. Ferrari had fastest laps in 13 of the 18 races that season too, Compared to Mclaren's 3. So Massa clearly had a VERY quick car in race trim.
Yes for me the real story of that season is how Kimi was so utterly **** that he failed to win in a ferrari that an average team mate took to the wire.
That's why F1 is interesting. Even the Olympic 100 meter final does not bring out such interesting arguments and discussions. Provided people can stop with the in-fighting
I think that is partly because in the 100m final, if you cheat, you get thrown out. If you cheat in F1 there is a random chance of you getting a random penalty.
It's even worse when you consider most of those fastest laps were actually Kimi's! I think he had 10 to Massa's 3

He won it (somehow) in a slower car the year before. .
