Hembrey - "wear of life indicated at 40 laps"

Vettel did 28 laps... well that wasn't a good indication by Pirelli. No wonder Ferrari decided to stay out to get the podium.

They obviously weren't that concerned then, if that's all the convincing they needed.

Just makes it seem like 'sore loser' type whinging in all honesty.

"See we said they weren't good enough"

Lewis and Seb brought the issue of tyres exploding up in the driver briefing and were told to shut up by Charlie Whiting is why...

So?

That doesn't explain why he chose to try and run the tyres as long as humanly possible despite having personal concerns about their ability.

I repeat, if he was so concerned, why try it?

Charlie telling them to shut up isn't going to suddenly make them think the tyre is amazing and will be brilliant for a one stop

He actually said that? I guess safety is no longer a concern if somebody tells two people to shut up about it...

And were Ferrari running the tyres within the parameters deemed fit by Pirelli?

What were the cambers and tyre pressures?

Excuse me Jenson? Not loving F1 today? Didn't I see you quoted in the press the other week as saying the drivers had to lead the "love of F1" if they expected fans to do the same?

Rather a picky and finicky thing for you to say? In the interview he said he still loves F1 and loved yesterday, but didn't love today. Who the hell can blame him for saying that? The team not even connecting his energy batteries up before the race, trundling around just ahead of the manors with your team mate 36 seconds off the car in front?

I've not seen him that depressed or slamming of the car before though, I think he'll be off to WEC or something at the end of the year. Apparantly if McLaren keep him on for 2016 they need to honour a payrise to $19m a year when they can just lump Kev in the car for 1.5m. They don't need Button, or Alonso, (or rather they don't need McLaren) both will probably be off to do something else, Macca left with two rookies.

McLaren seem to be in a real mess. I thought the great Ron coming back was to make things better? Even Martin Whitmarsh was never as bad as this.

They probably will be better in 2017. Year behind, Honda underestimated the tech. Not exactly sure how good the actual car is chassis wise. Heard it's pretty decent. By the time it comes (if) good Alonso or Button will probably be retired tbh.

You waxed lyrical about the chassis!

You waxed lyrical about the chassis!

They've had to change things to fix reliability now, air intakes/ cooling / engine housings etc. the size zero concept has gone, tbh with all the quotes from Arai I don't know what to think anymore, the PU is obviously a dog but the chassis is probably quite decent, but then you get Arai saying it's the chassis holding the PU back. It is a mess indeed.

The McLaren situation is an absolute mess tbh. The whole Honda thing was such a stupid decision.

As for Vettel's tyre, I might not be Pirelli's biggest fan, but I don't see how they can get the blame this time. That being said, if we are to have a single tyre supplier, I would rather it was anyone else tbh.

You swallowed the PR guff and ignored what was stating you in the face.
