BenQ XL2730Z Freesync Owners Thread

Looks like new lower price to me. Nothing mentions about it being a limited other like the other monitors currently on sale. Probably lowered to match the price of the due to be released Acer Predator freesync

Personally, given the horror stories with LG and Acer support, I wouldn't touch them. So Benq is one way street, given that Samsungs are going to be limited at 4K res, and 60hz.

This thread.... its regarding the Benq XL2730Z, yet there is a tone of talking about G-Sync.

If you want a G-Sync/Freesync flame i believe there is a thread under the GPU section.

That easter sale! OCuK you ******* :D

In regards the this monitors lower Hz level, I believe if you are going to buy this monitor then you should at least have the hardware to cope.

Uh I orderdd one on Thursday, and is already shipped and paid for Saturday delivery, however DPD doesn't provide a single tracking clue if going to be delivered today :(

I think people are waiting for the IPS 144HZ versions now, unless you really need a monitor now, there isn't much point getting the TN monitors when IPS is right around the corner.

There are no IPS or VA monitors at 144hz WITH Freesync announced.
60hz yes, and these are the Samsung models at 4K coming with VA panel.

While the Predator XG270HU is TN panel

The ASUS MG279Q was not sent to AMD for official FreeSync certification, but it will support Adaptive-Sync and ergo will almost certainly work with FreeSync. :)

@120hz not 144hz :D like the post was when I commented.

It was always '120Hz+' at time of development and ASUS will be pushing for 144Hz. Not that it makes a difference, I'm sure 120Hz 'IPS' with FreeSync would please many people anyway. :)

Yeah I would be surprised if the Asus isn't 144hz...

Also, I doubt many people would be able to tell the difference between 120 and 144hz anyway :p

I would love a FreeSync monitor that could do 30-100Hz. I'm not sure what the obsession with 120hz is, 100Hz is more than enough.

Can the software on a monitor be changed to widen the refresh range?

Damn, DPD tried to deliver it this morning while I was at work and they only emailed me a few minutes before so I didn't have time to tell them to deliver to my neighbour, have to wait until tomorrow to get it now :(

Aha. I got the notification and managed to change it to my neighbour this morning

Unfortunately DPD sat on the damn monitor since Friday when they go it, and didn't deliver it on Saturday :(
Nvm.
