Same as me.I purchased an Anbernic RG351V to scratch the itch a year or so ago, but have since upgraded to a Steamdeck. Also use the Switch for some of the old Nintendo games.
I’d recommend trying something along the lines of a cheap Anbernic console first, then go from there. Plenty of info on YouTube, check out Retro Game Corp and Retro Dodo.
Same as me.
Why a Switch for old Nintendo game?
That’s pretty good. I do play Tetris (Gameboy) quite a lot.If you didn’t know already you have access to a limited selection of NES, SNES, N64 games etc free of charge if you’re subscribed to the Nintendo Online & Expansion Pack. So it’s a decent bonus when using the Switch. The family subscription can be had for very little money and is sometimes offered in the members market, 8 or so members sharing the cost.
Sounds like a no. Someone wrote ‘no, it can barely play Switch games properly.’I would guess the Switch is more than powerful enough to emulate both, but no sign of these being added to the list as yet, unless anyone else has read otherwise?
A list of games/consoles available on the online membership can be found at the following link - https://www.nintendo.com/us/switch/online/nintendo-switch-online/classic-games/
In other news, I sat in bed playing Skate 3 (Xbox 360) for an hour and a half last night as my gf watched some tv series. Still 30% battery, game ran great locked at 30fps.
I never thought the Steam deck would be able to run 360 games!
CanaryWhat emulator are you using?
did it come bud?My LCD deck is arriving today. Excited is an under statement.
Yep!did it come bud?
I've got a Switch with NSO+ to get my Nintendo retro goodness, I've got a Steam Deck for anything else....
Why is a Miyoo Mini+ tempting me? Probably because I could fit it in my inside pocket and play it while waiting on the school run!
I know what you mean, I've got the Switch and play a fair amount of retro Nintendo (and Mega Drive) stuff on it, the N64 games are really good with the N64 controller!
But I keep looking at the Ambernic RG405M - I think mainly because I can play all of the Sega stuff I'd like (DC, MD, 32X, etc) along with any Nintendo game up to Gamecube really... but do I need it?... Probably not!
Ooohh, that one looks a lot more expensive than what I'd consider paying. Does look good though.
What Gambatte core, 1.16.0?Some strange ones I'm hoping @Guest2 or @Yrkoon can help with.
EmuDeck is set up, Gambatte core for GB/GBC/GBA games, boots but hangs on the "boot" screen (with the nintendo logo). I've got the BIOS in the correct location according to EmuDeck. If I change core to another one, it boots fine and displays the "boot" screen. Having the same issue with SegaCD. Any ideas?
What Gambatte core, 1.16.0?
When you run EmuDeck, launch BIOS checker. For SegaCD It should show searching... then BIOS detected. (if you have the correct BIOS)
