Best Retro Handheld

What's what i am trying to do, the .bat file to build it doesn't when following RGC's video guide.
I did this same step last night (still very much going through the guide too, too much stuff going on!) and I had issues in linux so had to book into Windows but worked fine then. Did you install the java SE that is specified? I downloaded the zip, extracted, installed java SE from the github recommendation and the APK generated fine (which then installed fine).

I will try again. Part of me worry it is because I am using Windows in a Macbook through bootcamp.

One problem overcome but another pops up...this is why I prefer Linux devices lol

Now i got this when trying to scrape box arts. I have no idea.....anyone?

Have you had the android prompt to grant that app access to the folder you're trying to read / write?

Nope.

The REALLY weird thing is that it also scraped some N64 games when i did that system on its own. But when I try another system on its own i got this message. Or all the systems.

If you rescan the rom directory, do you get any errors? It's almost like it doesn't have the rights to handle it. Android does folder level permissions if the app doesn't ask for god rights to the file system.

I regret not going for 512g....if I get one now....would directly copying the files over would work without doing all this again?

My biggest issue is that retroarch just seems to launch to the main app screen rather than loading a game despite me setting the cores up and downloading them. All the standalone ones work alright but anything retroarch needs manually selecting again... Pfft, one for tomorrow I think!

I guess I will figure out some external SSD or USB stick solution for the larger games. Point those systems' emulation engine to that folder when playing.

like a 2230 nvme

I'd imagine that it happily supports OTG so could probably hook up any mass storage device to it and it'd be happy.

A job for later i think, it's amazing how fast it fills up 256g when added PS1, GC and PS2 games. I only have around 25 PS2 games, no Wii or WiiU. Which I doubt i will bother due to the lack of nunchucks.

I would like to try to emulate Switch, playing Breath of the Wild on it would be fun...I do own that game.

It appears I can get a 512 2230 nvme for less than £50, only a tiny bit more than a 512 micro SD card anyway.
