BF Hardline Visceral Games

Well I can't say I'm that impressed by what I have seen.

I would have preferred EA to have launched this as a new series than to try and spin it out under the Battlefield series.

I think I can hear Nexus sobbing from here due to the lack of tanks.

After bf 2 and project reality, all other bf games are just cod clones but thats wot the 12 year olds that play it want. Role on pr2 if it ever gets made.

Videos don't show up on in Safari, just blank spaces of blue, so wasn't aware it had already been posted.

My bad.:D

On ipad? Just go back then forward again on the pages, video will show up then.

As for the game...let's see what they can do with frostbite engine as dice sure as he'll can't make a tight feeling shooter.

Why don't they just do an updated gfx BF2. Then I'd come back to the series. Well as long it it had infantry only option as well.

I feel the same, BF3 stunk of console so didn't touch BF4, I want BIG maps and open game play not corridors or narrow streets and disco lighting.

Arma is a step too far in terms of realism for me and last one I tried was buggy as hell, why can't anyone make a decent BF type game for the PC, seems like no one cares any more apart from making money from the console market, until or if this changes "I'm out", haven't upgraded my PC for about 4 years now!.

:(

Looked really good to me. Especially liked the look of the single player campaign.

+1

Looks good. Welcome change from Battlefield as it is getting a bit stale. Keep the awesome graphics / destructible environments but add better single player campaign, and team orientated multiplayer. The cops n robber setup will be really good fun, trying to get the loot and then make the getaway. Can't see what's not to like here tbh.

I mean they could have just copy and pasted from the last game and got Kevin Spacey in for the cut-scenes.. He was already busy though...

agreed, although heists could be fun its not exactly battlefield

arma maps with bf4 visuals, destructions and controls [simple i know, but better than 20 buttons for useless functions and no buttons for the stuff you want]. make team based co-op a thing again, for those of us who like multiplayer but aren't/refuse to be good enough to take on the lol360noscope fraternity.

*fondly remembers joint ops custom co-op maps*

So they killed off MoH because it sucked now they are trying the exact same thing with their flagship franchise. That makes sense.

EA don't get it. They thought we didn't like medal of honor and the story / concept of it

The big execs on the board completely don't get that what we hated was another half assed first person shooter with a boring, stupid, short, on rails single player and another unoriginal unimaginative boring multiplayer that didn't attempt anything radical, and was just another FPS game to try and cash in on the COD money

So they think the problem is medal of honor, cancel it, sack the developers that made it (danger close) then proceed to get another developer to do the exact same thing all over again, including the same stupidly priced limited editions etc.. but this time stick battlefield in the name, because that will make it sell right ?

Its possible that DICE / Visceral may actually make a game worth playing, despite the ineptness of EA. But i'm not holding out hope. Judging by the "fall 2014" release date this again will have to be done by October to make sure it beats the next COD game to market.

Let's hope its actually ready by October unlike BF4.

you kinda put what i would have in words :p

single player on moh 2010 was dog**** . i couldn't even play it so boring.

mp had great reg though but many may of forget what happened, they released dlc straight away no one brought it game was dead like 1 month later.

also the mp map design was very poor.

funny thing is Dice EA we are going to concentrate on fixing bf4 and work on nothing until we have done that :p oooh by the way... :D

there was a great twitter message from Visceral dev yesterday. he posted loving the great positive feedback responses, yet every response was negative under his twitter :p typical devs not actually listening to what people want.

all those who said there wasn't going to be another release for October can be in no doubt now how the whole bf franchise is just a caching and nothing to do with gaming .

underneath all that, I think DICE can make decent games. The people working there are still the ones that proclaimed that they would never charge for DLC.

Trouble is DICE aren't autonomous, they answer to their bosses at EA, and they are the ones that say yay or nay to what DICE want, and they are the ones who will say that battlefront has to be ready by October 2015 to beat the COD 2015 game.

Utterly Utterly stupid, EA just need to have faith in DICE and let them release a game when its ready.

its money and when your product is controlled solely by it. you know the outcome. a mess.

you cant make a treble aaa title new engine in such a short time with no bugs.
