Thing is Activision appear to have learnt this, which is why COD has now moved to a 3 yearly cycle with a 3rd developer now producing COD games.

here's hoping EA follow suit and give DICE more time to produce their games.

Yep, pretty much confirmed - RIP Battlefield series.

The sooner EA and the other useless developers who milk the customers quit the gaming industry, the better. It is becoming a farce now.

360/PS3 port - check

A year after release, still a buggy mess with an announcement of a new BF game coming out - check.

Battlefield isn't dead. DICE will continue to produce proper battlefield games

Its just unfortunate that EA are sticking the word battlefield in other FPS games to try and get them to sell.

After the shambles that is BF4 and the direction in general the Battlefield series is heading, whether they will develop another proper Battlefield game is currently highly debatable, sadly.

And the Battlefield series is the longest gaming series I have been playing regularly.

BF died with 3 didnt bother with 4.

I kicked the back side out of BF2 that was the pinnacle i think.

Rose tinted spectacles. Go back and play battlefield 2 and it had plenty of issues. Dolphin diving, overpowered jets etc..

WOW talk about overvaluing the product, no way will this be worth £50 on PC with the sheer amount of problems BF4 has had you would have expected some kind of loyalty bonus considering the crap that bf fans have had to put up with over the last 6 months or so. Just a joke EA.

Use VPN. I've got around 300 hours from BF4 so I would say that the £60 i paid for it which includes premium was well worth it.

Yeah i do sometimes, although EA have been cracking down on people using VPN's to get the best deals. I've known people that got banned for doing it.

you cant get banned for any EA product through vpn. i had this proven. its not a policy so buy away.

I don't have proof but a friend of mine had his account suspended for buying sim city using an Indian VPN.

With the farce that is bf4, i cant see why theyd stick battlefield in the title of this. Not a name that inspires much confidence anymore. Think battlefield and all that come to mind are visions of an unmatched level of ineptitude.
