Does hyperthreading make a difference here?
okay good glad to hear you are happy with your rig. Any chance we could see how your chip perform in this game?
Average framerate : ?

0.1% low framerate : ?
Just to keep it relevant to the thread?
Well, fortunately, we don't usually class Cinebench as the be-all and end-all when it comes to measuring in-game performance then@BTVA I am happy with this processor at stock clock speed of 3.7ghz gives me 1759 and the 8700k that gets the same score has to be overclocked over 5 ghz.
The reason why i am happy is because the multi thread performance of the 2700x smashes the 8700k when both 2700x and 8700k are at stock clock ghz speeds and also amd will support am4 until 2020, so i will be upgrading most likely when it is 2020 with their last batch of am4 processors.
Oh absolutely, sorry I didn't mean for it to sound like I was bashing Ryzen's performance - just thought the Cinebench willy waving was a bit off topic!^^^^ Yeah but its a bit boring

I posted a Ryzen 1600 a few posts up guys, on a better GPU a Ryzen 2000 6 cores + will probably get about 20% higher performance given the clock speed and IPC improvements.
Look i'm getting an average of about 80 FPS, 90% of that is tied to GPU Performance.
Ryzen is NOT as good a gaming CPU as an 8700K but it seems with a 1600 i'm getting pretty good performance in a game that clearly is very hard on the CPU, about to the limits of what my overclocked GTX 1070 can manage at 1080P.
That's all that matters really, if you have any requests let me know.
@humbug Can you play same map same class same duration with SMT disabled and see how it does?
