BF2 Team [OcUK] intersted?

Well, tbh I think sorting out an OcUK "clan" would be shooting ourselves in the foot somewhat...it's great having everyone tagged so we can spot the OcUK'ers, but I don't think we'll ever really be organised (or good) enough for playing matches.

a lot of OcUK'ers are already tagged =50k= members so that cuts out many of the best players on these forums.

The only way a real OcUK clan would work if everyone put some cash forward and we got our own server, but that would cost a lot of money to keep a half decent server going and a lot of time to admin.
 
Was on the =50K= 50 man server earlier, was doing alright on Karkand until the grenades started coming in and we were pinned down before the hotel :D
 
Multiplay are doing 33% off servers rental at the moment, but it's still pretty pricey, a 50 player ranked server for 12 months is £964.

Which if say 25 of us chipped in for is still £40 each a month, a bit too costly in my opinion.
 
Some of us had a ranked multiplay server a while ago when BF2 first came out. Led to a fair bit of disagreemenets between the players who were allways on and those who wento n once or twice in 3 months.

Anyhoo, since I usually play with the tags on anyway add me to the list:

It was last year from about August -> October.

Was a good idea in theory, but as PieMaster says, there were some disagreements regarding server rules and we never managed to raise enough £££ for the next 3 months.

Anyways i don't mind helping out. I am well up for this and it seems so are others.
Lets nominate 3 people to be Oc reps. Not your typical admin types but just 3 dudes that have the time to gather all the relevant info and pass it on via MSN etc and liase with the other 2 reps.
Those 3 could bring us together when needed arrange tactics and generally be busy bodies. :)

I am up for a busy body help organiser bloke. :D

Domain = www.keyboardwarriors.co.uk at least until we get a better one, if someone knocks up a site then that would be better than me doing it, although I am up for maintaining it.

I might be interested in this too. I need to check my clan is OK about it first though. We don't play BF2 anymore so I can't see there being a problem
 
Maybe we could get a rough idea as to how much people can put towards a server? Maybe just a 32 player server for 3 months?

Or, we could ask OcUK to put their prices up for a week so we can buy a server :D :p
 
Someone needs to make a website, not necissarily a forum just a website.

I can provide the domain and hosting, but I can not make it for a few weeks.

We need to get a TS server setup and finalised, we also need our own server, unranked etc or one we could all hop onto fine for OcUK teambuilding and general fun. :p

I think the three mentioned there are the main ones we need to sort, website for news and updates Xfire/msn details. I can maintain it but someone else can design it. :p

1. Anyone got any website making skills?? :D It only needs to be basic! We just need a way to mass communicate.

2. Then we need somewhere to play??

3. Then we can announce a time & date for our first official practice/get together! :cool:
