Ocuk are gonna run outta stock of the Akasa 62 me thinks !

I did say this the other day, and its the same case in the picture even in my Akasa my 7800GTX 512megger came almost to the point it was touching the hdd units!

I think if they start making a longer card they really are gonna find an issue where it will no longer fit the ATX case. This is gonna be worser then the FX/Dustblower case ;)

We need a new form factor EATX Cases (extra long cases) ;)

if it over-hangs past the motherboard (even by a cm) then its out of the ATX spec, something will intefere be it cables, HD cages, HD's, fans etc...

The only way to be comfortable is with an E-ATX case.

I think these cards might struggle to fit in SFF cases.

Shuttle are going to have to make their cases bigger no?

Just looking in my Sugo, i'm not sure if it would get in the way of anything, but it'd be damn close if it didn't.

How much protection does that give? What happens if they go down with my credit card money?

you're underwritten by visa/mastercard but its hardly a straightforward solution and not one I'd walk into with my eyes open.

Hmm. Another site are listing the xfx 8800gtx for £407 and the GTS is £315. I hope those prices hold up when this thing releases.
Well if oc.uk plans to sell them for £100 more they won't exactly go like hot cakes, lol.

Ah, looking back in the thread, I see. Thought Elvis left the building :D

Isn't the Easy was up for the Step up, no?

Back to reality:

I have been in comms with EVGA for the past month.

AS ever its BS.

This is seen not as a step up but a next gen.....

By the time it happens then a refresh will be in process.

Easyrider, are you saying that eVGA are refusing to allow you to stepup to the 8800GTX?

cheers

If i'm reading it right, they're denying him the step-up on the grounds that he's changing card generations.

So yes, they're denying him the right.

You pay over the odds and thats the service they offer. Nice one EVGA you have just lost a massive customer base!!!

Surley thier has to be something in thier small print about that. They cannot sell cards with a step up program that are the top of their class and when the only card that comes out that you would possibly step up to (g80) is classed as a next gen. To me thats classed as a con on thier behalf. IM sure thier is something that can be done about that as thats a bloody joke.

i cant see how you can sell the highest card in the series with step up to only say its not valid with the new gen of cards? Thats a lie. I would ask for a full refund tbh. And unless thier is something in thier small print then thiers nothing much THEY can do. Customers have allot of rights these days....
