Christmas is the time of giving, give money to overclockers for a new graphics card.

Now let me see if the kids have less, the mother in law gets nowt, the wife does a few extra hours.... yep gtx for me. :cool:

Presumably you can sli the 8800 so we should be looking at 15000 at least to compare to your mamby pamby crossfire setup. Bye bye ati for me welcome back nvidia, why did i ever leave you please forgive me.

Hi there

Yes 8800 GTX will be SLi compatible and therefor close to 16,000-18,000 in 3D Mark 06 I'd imagine. :)
 
crikey futuremark are going to have to pull their collective fingers out to produce a card killing benchmark this time. I still remember the days when 4000 was considered a good score (in whatever was the current 3dmark version)

I am thinking of 2xG80's at launch day depending on finances.

Will the Nvidia 680i motherboards be available to order on the 8th as well ?

True :) I always have my BadAxe to fall back on.

But would like to go SLI if the motherboards are out by then. And I would hope reviews start appearing on the web next week so at least I can see how they perform and if sli is fixed. I am sure if it turns out to be a dog I will have no trouble selling the 2nd G80 :)

I assume the G80's will appear at 2pm on launch day on OcUK's site.
 
I'm amazed people are disappointed that a single card is going to be giving the performance of 2 current top cards and thats with immature drivers. Were people expecting it to be much faster than a current SLI or CF setup?

Blimey we just expect too much nowadays, even from a next gen release.
