Three times the performance as a GX2? Who on Earth is actually stupid enough to even consider that kind of power.
Had it confirmed at work today - will be the 9th in the UK
i dont think you can actually say that for dx10 as unless i've been outta the loop to long this is the only DX10 graphics cards thats gonna be retail soon? also there arent any games out that use DX10 and DX10 itself aint out till nearer vista?rodman said:In some games it will, in some games it will not. In DX10 it def will.

rodman said:The point is G80 will run DX10 better than a GX2 isn't that what we were comparing?
Bizarre said:*Bizarre bangs rodman's and sja360's heads together*
The G80 will run DX10 100% faster than a 7950GX2... becouse the 7950GX2 cannot run DX10.
*Bizarre hops back into bed.*
As for length, the GTS is shorter than than an ATX board is long. So yes I'd say it would fit. The PSU? What is the combined wattage on the rails, because 15A+ 15A means nothing. What make and model is it?dazsly said:Sorry for the double post but I really need to know if
I will be getting the 8800gts as I hope this will fit into a thermaltek tsunami case and a fps 500w duel rail 15amp per rail psu, will this be enough for the gts??

23.75A/285W combined 12v is a bit light tbh. I think looking at the spec I'd guess the GTS will need about 12.5A/150W. Your rails individually will just about supply that, but both rails feed from the same source. If it pulls 150W that only leaves you with 11A/135W. Which is light for the CPU/peripheral load, but you may just get away with. Try it and see, overclocking is where it might fail.
Same power requirements, thats about 140w at stock. The single rail is fine, its what happens elsewhere that matters. As I said its the combined total wattage that counts, rarely are rails truly independent. Take a minute and have a read on rail design.dazsly said:What about the 7950gx2? this is gonna be similar to the 8800gts? would this run? I thought I read 15a on single rails for this psu
