BFG RMA question

Where is longbow

He deleted his message I think, I can not see it anywhere where longbow mentioned about me taking legal action. But to all you out there struggling for RMA because of their stock levels is not fair. They like many other companies offer warranty, and in our rights we are entitled to a fair service, and in waiting for a month with nothing, no real response after calling 3 times a week for information that is incorrect, I think I have rights according to the law.

Trading Standards would be interested and so would a good solicitor who you are willing to pay. According to some great solicitors, Trading Standard could be the best way for UK customers. It is government based and have a lot of power... put it this way BFG would not like a letter from them!

I hope it doesn't make you laugh though longbow.

Any RMA issues I have ever had with BFG have been sorted out by Jeff.

Top bloke

That's good, don't get me wrong... I am glad those he has helped. But a few people recently to what I read they are getting no feedback (not just on this forum). I sent him a nice email, nothing in return, he never has posted previous to my other troubles either.

I am now at manager level on customer service since Monday, she told me that I am getting an upgraded card sent out by the end of this week, it is thursday now with no update on my RMA status. Since tomorrow they have had my card for 1 month. I doubt the card will be sent. But since tuesday I have informed them over the phone and sent a letter about my legal plan, I told them nicely and explained it is not direct but towards the company.

Lets hope they send it before their time is up!

See if you can get hold of Jamie, he's been really helpful to me. He was the one that contacted USA and got them to issue my RMA by the end of the working day after a previous hiccup. Just today he left me voice mail telling me my cards in transit and will be with me in a few days, I knew this already from the RMA tracking and FedEx but still nice of him to call, a really pleasant guy.

Same person i talked to, actually i think he's one of the only ones there. My cards about a week away or so i think, using this 8500 gt is a mind numbing experience. :(

[Panto Mode]Oh yes there is![/Panto Mode]

No there isn't. Just because it said what card you were getting doesn't mean everyone has the same.

I'm here, and haven't deleted anything. And yes "I'm going to sue" does make me laugh because you hear it on the internet all the time, and they are all empty threats.

Companies have to replace products within a reasonable time, 4 weeks is reasonable. If you want to take them to court over what they have written on their website, go ahead, but I don't think that will stand in court. I too am not impressed with the service of BFG, but they haven't done anything to warrant legal action.

Yeah he's nice guy, really helpful.

I'm using my old 7800 and so glad I kept it, I mean its a POS now but it's keeping me sane! :)

Received my card this morning  way earlier than expected. However, the replacement is a lesser model than what I sent in and covered in scuffs...the stickers are even peeling off. Very disappointing

They have to give you an equal or better model, so if it's inferior, send it back.

What did they give you?

And mine is in the city, so I should get the card today.

The original was the OC version, I know..not hugely different but thats not the point. Yours is in the UK today? lemme know what replacement you get man.

Yeah, that slap in the face hurt :)

It's in the machine and working so I guess thats the main thing but it's a lot louder than the last one and has a really annoying buzzy fan, sounds like theres an angry wasp in it lol but at least it doesn't get as hot as the old one.

Still in two minds wether I should complain or not though? To be honest if they told me to send it back to swap for a different one its just more friggin hassle and waiting again.

Id raise an issue about it, firstly its slower than what you had, secondly its meant to be in good condition. Id doubt you'd accept it out of store like that so why accept a replacement like that.

Im starting to wonder about this service, ive seen multiple cards come back doa even with stickers on the bag stating the card was tested. My card was an rma return and only had one gpu working, again with the stickers saying it was tested. Don't understand how dead or faulty cards can get through testing.

Yeah its 675mhz vs 700 on OC'd version, not a huge difference I know but even so. I'm pretty annoyed about the condition of the card, although it looks ok on that photo on the side of the card its scuffed almost the whole length of the fan housing and god knows what that greasy s*** was, looked like someone had wiped there ass on it lol. I wouldn't have minded so much if it was the back of the card cause you wouldn't be able to see it but it looks crap through my case window. Maybe this is starting to sound a little anal and I apologise for moaning but I do like my system to look nice. I spent a fair amount of time on neat cable management, chose all black components, P6T Deluxe/6gb OCZ Reaper/X-Fi Titanium/True Black etc... and some nice contrasting white case lighting and the card just spoils it. I'll give them a call on Monday morning, this will be most effective I think as I tend to be a grumpy B****** in the mornings, so I might get a result! if not I'll prob just buy a new GFX card. Soz for going on , I'm gonna go have a beer and chill :)

It's finally here! After nearly 4 weeks, Fedex made the delivery a day ahead of schedule. :)

I was told I was getting a 8800 GTS OC, and here it is...

Funny looking 8800 I must admit, but it's slightly better anyway I suppose. Certainly not worth the long wait though.

By the way, the sticker is coming off my card too, and it has very slight scuff marks on the end, but that doesn't bother me, as long as it runs fine. Have yet to plug it in.
