BFG RMA question

Even though my RMA took time as well i would not even think about buying another gpu from another brand....even if they match the rma process of bfg i doubt that they will have a guy like Jeff posting on here....BFG=BEST GPU BRAND 100%!:)

As far as I know the card was replaced entirely. We don't make customers wait while the card is sent out for repair (or do it in house for that matter), it would just take way to long to get anything in return. It should be a different card (even if it is the same model). Let me know what happens after you test it.

Stage 2: Your RMA was received in the BFG Warehouse on 2009-12-11 05:10:40

Stage 3: Your RMA was processed in the BFG Warehouse on 2009-12-11 09:34:35 and has already shipped.

Doesn't say what action was taken if it was found faulty or what its being replaced with - but seems like its been turned around and back out... so far so good.

Stage 2: Your RMA was received in the BFG Warehouse on 2009-11-10 04:08:42.
Stage 3: Your RMA has not yet shipped from the BFG Warehouse

And thats the second RMA. 5 more days and its been 2 months since my card went back to BFG

Not a reflection on BFG - but with that quick turn around I'm half expecting they've rejected it for some reason... hopefully tho it'll turn up on monday and be a proper replacement.

Or they had stock of one and just replaced it, my last rma was pretty fast as well, for all the length of time it lasted :(

More suprised ive not got a single pcb version yet.

Sent off a 8800GTS 512 and got a GTS250 1gb
Looks brand new but seems to overheat a little easily , works fine when i whack up all the fans though

I sent mine out on friday, arrived sat according to royal fail though tis not had its status updated as yet. Fingers crossed i finally get a working card :(

Big thanks to Jeff who turned around my faulty GTX280 for a new one in less than a WEEK!?!?!

Superb.

Pass on my thanks to all BFG tech support involved. You are a credit to your profession.

Mine turned up early this morning... so not counting the weekend thats less than 3 days door to door - 42 hours turn around... which is pretty good... looks like a new card too - but I haven't time atm to test it.

EDIT: Just got around to testing it - seems to work fine - so far no cold start problems and working fine in games/benchmarks.

As did mine with the exception of crysis which had these weird random fps drops for several seconds at a time, second day the card keeled over. :(

The thing that really baffled me was it ran crysis like warhead, in the sense that the draw distance seemed about the same and textures and object drawing in was very noticable, unless thats some kind of nvidia profile optimisation as it never did that on the 3870x2.

My status is now at received anyway, fingers crossed i get it this week.

And my RMA drags on.

I last had a response from Jeff on the 2nd of december which said

I’m looking into this right now, and requested that a replacement be shipped ASAP. I will keep you posted with any updated information I get.

But I've had nothing further since then, despite me sending a couple more emails chasing it.

My 9800 GX2 failed on me this weekend, just replied to an email with my details, serial number etc. Hopefully i'll get something back in time for Christmas!
