BFG RMA question

Email them first so you get an RMA number etc.
Matt,

Our UK warehouse is still open and will be processing all RMA's.

Thank you,
Delma .

Realise I'm a bit late to this thread but I recently RMA'd a BFG 8800GTS OC which died on me just short of two years old.

The warehouse got the RMA turned around with impressive speed but the GTS 250 they sent me as a replacement is also knackered, even though it looks brand new. It was comforting to find this thread and to know that I'm not alone, as initially I thought it was something else wrong with my PC. Have confirmed its knackeredness on another PC so looks like it'll be going back again.

To save my sanity, though, I decided to buy a new GTS 250 anyway which I ordered at 5pm last Wednesday, and which turned up at 9:30am the following day just in time for the bank holiday weekend. Amazing service from OcUK once again.

I'm just going to send it where they tell me, worst case Royal Mail return the card to me and I send them another email.

I think you're best doing it by the book so you are covered.

You will probably end up with three GTX 285's. Something quite similar happened with me. (fingers crossed)

The 9800 GTX in my spare system is currently playing up, I think I'll wait for all this airline business to settle down before proceeding with an RMA.

How did you guys package the card itself? like to protect it?

the bfg people say not to send it back in the original box, obviously i'm not gonna send it back just in that box but put into a brown parcel box with bubble wrap, but slightly unsure now?

Anti static bag, bubble wrap and a box for it all. Nothing major. It was quite tight in the box I even had the card at a angle IRC.
