BFG RMA question

Thanks. I have sent them 3 emails also, but you should not need to do this! I spoke to a very helpful gentleman in Partners IT who handle all warranty/RMA problems for the UK and he asked me to cc him on my last email request. If I do not hear from them in the next 48 hours he advises that he will contact them and speed up the process. Here's hoping!

Hi yes i spoke to someone from the same place who told me the same after another 2 days of waiting thou I phoned the US and got my RMA in 10 mins

well after 4-5 weeks and no reply i guess i need to take another action as they don't seem to give a ****

I will see what trading standards say this week.

They can be INCREDIBLY slow to say the least responding by email, one response i got took 3 weeks long after the rma was resolved. I responded with a link to this thread in the hope it would speed some of the rma's up, apparently not.

Do you think they are wishing we would give up and move on lol

I know my card not worth anything now (agp lol ) but its under warranty and i want it fixed or another card.

OK. Here we go......this is a no brainer...

To get an RMA for your faulty card if it is registered on the BFG site and has their 10 year warranty or it is less than 2 years old.

a. Ring BFG direct on 001 630 637 27459 tell them of your problem and ask them to provide you with an RMA number. They take your telephone number and your email address.

b. Within 10 minutes you get an email with a link and using your telephone number as the code you open the link and get the details and the RMA number and the address to send the card to. http://www.partnersit.co.uk/contact.asp

c. If you have been emailing BFG for weeks and have had no response, ring the repair company http://www.partnersit.co.uk/contact.asp (08456 446644) and ask for D Williams.

I found that BFG replaced my card very quickly: Reached them on 04/05 04:40, RMA processed at 06:30. Received my replacement the next day.

Unfortunately, 20 or so days in, things aren't so good.
Random lockups/graphic corruptions during fallout 3, tried to run furmark just now and it locked up within a second.

Looks like the RMA is getting RMA'd, hopefully I won't have the issues everyone else seemed to.

skype!
:)

edit: not sure how much it costs but its going to be a lot cheaper than a landline or mobile. used to cost me 0.012p a minute when calling home (england) from parts of asia.

This is not entirely correct and confusing to anyone who has a problem with a BFG video card.. I have just spoken to David Williams and he advises they ARE PROCESSING the cards for UK customers, so you DO STILL SEND IT TO Partners IT after getting an RMA from BFG on 001 630 637 27459. Partners IT then ship it to the USA. The one very small difference is that Partners IT do not send the replacement card to you, it comes directly from BFG USA.

Note. I have just come off the phone to him and he advised me to post the above information to avoid any confusion.

I literally just got off the phone to BFG and I was told to expect a refurbished card a few days after I ship it to wales.

I advise anyone calling to use a cheaprates acces number to ring. The waiting time varied between 15mins - to reach a guy who hung up on me when I said I was calling from England, and instantly - when I spoke to someone more helpful

This was calling at around 1800BST tonight
