Have recently sent a support request on BFG's website regarding my recently dead card (8800GTS 640MB), yet to get a response though... don't really fancy ringing the USA so guess I'll just wait it out.

Out of curiosity, does the card have to be registered for them to accept a return? Still got all the card's packaging/contents but don't think I ever got around to registering it on their site when I bought it (way back in July 2007).

The newer cards do need to be registered, but if I recall correctly not the 8XXX and older series of cards, so you should be fine.

When you ship off the faulty card, they only want the card itself, nothing else.

Well the phone number above didn't work for me, so I tried the toll free tech support line 1.866.234.3499. Apart from the grumpy tech drone on the end, seemed to work ok.

You get anywhere with that number?

Is it only toll free in the US?

They've just sent me an rma via email. Seems the old place in Wales is still being used, at least according to the address on this rma slip. I used skype to call and I wasn't charged anything.

Good thing too as I must have been on hold for about 40 minutes in total.

i rang bfg usa up and was told that my graphics card is broke and that they are waiting for stock and iam coming up 2 a month since i sent it off, friggin ****e....
just spoke to BFG tech in the states and i got a polite guy for once, and he said it normally takes between 10 to 30 days for another card to b sent out + the tech guy said that they are still waiting on stock so hopefully b4 the end of july i hope...

Doesnt sound like how they used to be. Has BFG gone down in their service value. I have two cards registered with them. Not looking forward to when they die if this is anything to go by.

What are they currently replacing 8800 GTS and 280's with?

I agree. They have had my GTX 295 (both GPUs failed) for 28days now and although they said they will send me a new card 2 weeks ago, nothing has arrived. They cannot give me a GTX 480 because they are not producing this latest nVidia version.

ive just ordered a Zotac Geforce 470 which is coming 2morrow,because we are all screwed on ther RMA'S it aint gonna happen u can c BFG going under and we will all b forgotten....

After a 9 month saga with BFG i now have a working graphics card.

To get it i rang bfg support and asked to speak to jeff. they refused. 45 mins later (i did it on skype = free) the superviser i was speaking to was getting very ****ed off and after putting down the phone i got an email back from jeff who was apparanlty out of the office and dosnt have a telephone.

3 days later a brand new gtx275 (to replace my string of broken 260's, 3 in total) was at my door.

Looks like they only get a new shipment of working cards every 4 weeks and its first come, first served.

Speak to dave at partners IT, very helpful chappy. and give BFG a kick up the arse, seems to work.

Well I am a little annoyed to say the least. Sent my 8800gts512 card off last week to Wales with all the correct documentation and it gets refused and sent back to me. What the hell is going on? I did not pay for it to be refused.

Am ringing them in a bit to find out why.

Update on UK Support from Partners IT for BFG cards.

I spoke to Partners IT yesterday, because BFG still have my GTX295 (RMA'd) and after nearly 3 months I have still not got a replacement. David Williams (Partners IT) advises that the support is not available anymore from them (for BFG) because of funding. Read into this what you wish. In my opinion BFG is going to the wall. I will keep pestering BFG until I get an answer from them. I am not holding my breath and have now purchased a GTX 460 from Overclockers. I have purchased the KFA2 LTD OC version after speaking with Partners IT because they will be providing the complete support for UK. I even rang the KFA2 web site support line number to test out the information and yes it is a line into Partners IT. This gave me a warm feeling as I have every confidence in Partners IT after spending a lot of time talking to David over the past months.

Same with me, I had to RMA my GF8800GTS OC 512MB, sent Friday a week ago, and it came back last Tuesday - I had hope that they send replacement... but not. I rang them same day, they said that it was a not nice surprise that IT Partner broke up contract with them and BFG guy promissed me that someone will contact with me within 24h... and they didn't. So, next day another call... quite weird, they ask me what is happening with my graphic card... I'm sorry but do you have to ask that kind of question if you agree to RMA my card a week ago??!! Now I have new RMA number and I'm waiting for email with instructions - they change RMA procces, now they are sending "replacement" (?) first, and after that I should send my broken card - for me it sounds like a bull-****.

What a times!!! You buying expensive card from fancy vendor and then you ending with piece of junk and almost no hope for happy ending.
