Ive broke my rear shock it seems, only just realised the compression setting literally does nothing on it anymore.. Oh well thats what I get for trying the stupid step down up BPW and failing :(

My point is, what brake system uses that?
None of the big manufacturers's brake systems can be bled like that, it will let an awful lot of air in.

Why will it let air in? It will only allow air in if you dont hold the lever or if you let the fluid level drop too low.

THere's usually air bubbles inside the oil itself - the syringe allows you to tap and push them out. Didn't know Hope recommends that method you;re talking about, not used Hope brakes in a very long time.

Right so I have £2k to spend and want a new AM style bike to replace my ageing S-Works.
It will be used mainly for stuff like BPW with maybe some Alps trips.
Currently looking at the Nukeproof Mega AM but I have been advised to maybe look at Rose bikes or the new Bird Aeris.
Anyone have anything that springs to mind that would be a good shout?

Thanks

For 2k - definitely either a Mega or Aeris

Capable bike that - came in second in the masters' cat at the Brogate race last weekend
