Ive had hope lights in the past and there is no way on earth id ever spend that amount of money on lights again. I got these the other day, charged it up and left it on outside and it lasted way over 3 hours on the highest setting! Im ordering another one so I can run one on the handlebar and one on my helmet..

Dont get fooled into stupid MTB prices with the Hope Lights etc, your paying the extra for the posh exterior and name.

Damn that's cheap! The beam looks fairly narrow in their photos, but it's difficult to tell unless you've actually used them on a ride. I'll have a better look at the Chinese lights before ordering anything.

It's a good thing I'm broke at the moment so I won't be buying in a hurry :)

Ill take a photo of the lights this evening out the garden if you want dude?

My lights turned up! Time for some night riding! Oh wait.. its raining

You mean you bought lights that aren't waterproof? :p :D

I love night time riding makes all those familiar tracks look alien. I'm still just getting by with one mounted on my bars, cant decide if i should get one for the helmet as well.

Lights are waterproof. Im a girl thats all. Helmet mounted every time

I tried it first helmet mounted but found it gave the trail a flat look, i find handlebar mounted better for seeing things like roots, rocks and the likes.
Need to save up some pennies and get one soon. Mind you the one i want is out of stock for now.

Do love the look of this though. Nice and powerful and sits nice and low on the helmet.

I use a helmet light and a bar light.
Helmet light on its own doesn't show up shadows behind things on the tail and makes it difficult to spot obstacles.
Bar light on it's own makes it difficult to see round corners, i always turn in too early as I'm trying to point the light into the corners.

Also, in using cheap chinese lights so expect them to fail suddenly at any time. Always have 2 on and always have a 3rd spare in my bag.

Hey supercow, how are you getting on with these forks? I'm after a new set, the obvious choice is the Pike but I'm worried about reliability issues. I was set on the X-Fusion sweeps but can't stop thinking I'll miss no kind of compression adjustment.
