I assume it's more than doable on a hardtail though?

Not book the uplift? I really, really need to get up soon!

It's definitely doable (as my ~37km stint today can confirm :)), however my hands were completely knackered by the end. I don't know if it was the cold wind or the rough descent but they really hurt.

The uplift is booked weeks in advance :( It's a great place but quite different to a normal trail centre. Whilst I hate climbing, it is usually part of the experience and at BPW it's just a long fire road slog with some killer hills.

Well...I would like carbon rims...but the sale of the Tues won't cover that...so, could go Stans Alpine and upgrades for the T2...or make up the difference. Problem is I keep trashing the wheels on the Blur and I'm too Anal to buy something stronger and put weight on the Blur! :o

So the rims are just cheap Chinese copies?

I'd imagine the build quality has to be somewhat decent, but you save a killing buying direct. Huge up mark on them.

Yes and no - they're not copies of anything and they're not cheap nasty stuff either. Just well priced carbon rims, mnufactured by the little people of China :)

Super, cheers. :) I wish there were more reviews out there, the spec and price put them well ahead of the competition. They should compliment my Yolo nicely :D

It's doable on a hardtail and full sus. Plenty of the local MTB group boys ride up. I wouldn't want to though :D

How many runs did you manage pushing up?

Only 4, but in fairness that was 37km total and I was knackered by the end. We worked it out to be over 1000m of elevation.

We spoke to a guy who had managed 7 uplifts before lunch so it's well worth the extra cash.

Had my bike stolen last night/this morning :(

The scumbags broke into one of the garden sheds where all the tools are but can't have fancied anything from there but they also broke into the bike shed and took my bike and my dads bike :(... My gf's bike was in the middle but they can't have liked the look of that one as they left it behind.

Apparently there has been a lot of break-ins nearby recently :(

gutted - hope your covered for insurance etc.

BPW is easy to ride up, ive done four loops in less than 2 hours taking it easy! I can do car park to top in 22mins and I aint even Mr Fit lol... C'mon guys, it isnt that bad...

Only just realised you emailed me! Sorry dude, I was over at some local trails eating some dirt when I went OTB lol!

Nah it's my fault man. I should've called or texted you instead.

It's probably a good thing you didn't come with if you can do the climb in 22 min :P You don't cycle up that stupidly steep hill at the start, do you?

No do I hell lol. I follow the uplift road, much much easier and much quicker. 22mins is on my own, in a group i go pace of others. You enjoy it up there?

Ahh! You'll have to show me at some point.

It's really good. I'm not surprised that there were so many guys wearing full-face helmets, even on the blue runs. Sixtapod into Willy Waver is really fast and we hit 40km/h down there.

The only bit that made me say "nope" was the twisty descent on Bonneyville (30 seconds into this video). I think if it had been drier I would have attempted it.
