Ahh! You'll have to show me at some point.

It's really good. I'm not surprised that there were so many guys wearing full-face helmets, even on the blue runs. Sixtapod into Willy Waver is really fast and we hit 40km/h down there.

The only bit that made me say "nope" was the twisty descent on Bonneyville (30 seconds into this video). I think if it had been drier I would have attempted it.

That doesn't look that bad at all, though a video never shows the true steepness..

my mate came off on that trail at BPW

broke his wrist and has tendon and ligament damage! Went straight over the bars taking that too fast

Is that you in the vid thewanted?

ps: just take those corners wider than those guys did if it's not you - they make it hard on themselves.

It's hella steep (for me). GoPros are pretty useless at showing elevation.

I'm annoyed at myself for not doing it since I managed to do the rock garden that crosses the little stream on the Blade trail at Afan Forest. Terrible description, but if you've done it then you'll know what I'm talking about.

You can see part of it at 01:25 in the video below, but you can't see how steep it is after he turns left.

I wish man! I walked my bike down that :(

Ouch :( There was a guy in the bathroom yesterday who was cleaning a wound on his shoulder and he said that he had probably broken his wrist too. It was dangling down but he said that he wanted to drive "a couple hundred miles home" first before going to A&E because if he needed an operation then he didn't want to be so far away from home. Mental.

Yea never force yourself into doing something, ive learnt in MTB'ing that if your not confident and committed things can end badly!

The HDs failed miserably in the mud this weekend, treads clogged almost instantly.

Either time for more tyres or time to give up the bridleway riding until it dries out. But not much hard pack locally that isn't too boring.

Can I join in ?

This just dropped through the letterbox :D

that yt bike is soooooo coool :D

Capra looks awesome!

That Capra is just plain stunning MattFSR.

:D :D

It rides .... absolutely amazingly! Never ridden anything quite so on-rails as it is, and this is before anything is properly bedded in.

Had it out around Hamsterly forest on Sunday, with a group of locals who showed me some off-piste stuff that I've never ridden before. Basically just pointed it down the descents, went faster, decided it'd be more fun to go even faster, so just dropped a gear or 2 and went faster! :D

No crashes, so can't complain. She handled slimy mud, rocks, and wet off-camber roots brilliantly. Looking forward to Glentress on Friday!

Looking at getting a short travel hardtail for my commute to work (~5 miles each way) and possibly some longer cycles at the weekend. Any advice on good models? Budget <£500.
