The lack of disc brakes will really limit it's appeal to anyone other than the retrobike lot.

Those dual-control shifters are also a massive pain.

So I'm considering selling the Pitch and been looking around Pinkbike for prices. £6-800 seems the going price.

Mines has better kit than most, SLX groupset.

That seems crazy as I paid £600 two years ago! Frame on it's own going for £350.

Now do I spend some money on it first, replacing bearings etc, service the shock/fork. Or do I sell it as is?

anyone recommend a trail lid that has uber airflow.

I have a POC Trabec but it transpires im a sweaty oven. Wearing no lid results in me being much cooler and not getting a headache doing the boring XC fitness loop. Wearing my POC i get mega hot and get a headache.

so want to try a lid that lets the heat out nothing worse than getting a headache half way round the loop

You don't even need something that has uber airflow. Pretty much almost all helmets have better ventilation that the POC Trabec, just look at the size of the vents that the Trabec has.

Random example - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/giro-hex-mtb-helmet-2013-special-offer-price/

The vent:helmet ratio is much better on something like this.

cheers

another question the old long cage vs medium cage. I need rid of this horrific SRAM X5 kit. I have shifters and other bits from my bandit spares pool. I want to buy a new rear mech probably a XT M780 Shadow +

I run 2x10, 38/24 upfront and 11-36 up back. This gives me a 39T capacity rating. My current X5 is a medium but shimano mediums are rated at less teeth i think.

Reckon a medium will be fine or should i go for the long?

Long cage mechs are for triple rings, medium will work fine.
My super short Zee mech FR version works perfect with my 11-36 cassette for what it's worth.

Speaking to guy who rents bikes at the local trail, running his cotic with a zee small cage with a 42T expander on it. Says it's been fine so far.

Going forest of dean for the first time next month, got the uplift booked with around 5 others. Is it just like bike park wales grading? A bike park wales blue is a cannock chase black! What runs are recommended without snapping myself in half?
