if its any consolation that looks like exactly what i did on my last crash. got the front wheel hooked up in a rut and got spat out the front side door. "fortunately" i landed in a patch of brambles and stingers as i didnt get my hands out either.

get well soon though, the old CB seems to be the injury of choice at the moment, youre not the only one ive heard of in the last few weeks.

Thanks - was just a silly fall, but one of those where you fall directly on the head/shoulder without being able to roll with it.
Poor line :p
Pretty much how my crash happened on Saturday. I was cruising through the fastest line choice, then decided to go for the techy option and stacked it into a boulder garden at full speed.

Haha :p

Healing vibes Supercow! It's hard to even see what happened on that vid, so easy to lose the front though and there's never much you can do.

Still not sure if I lost my front, or just got bucked because my back wheel landed on the up transition. Either way, I knew it was a crap jump and decided to do it anyway... on the last moment, which is near always a crap idea

Poor line :p

Haha :D

Yes it's a huge shame, that descent was one if the best with loads of 1-2 ft drops and off camber bedrock, now going to become a loose motorway that's sure to cause accidents and welcome back off road vehicles.

Hmmm is a magic mary vertstar up front going to be to soft for all mountain riding? Most of my riding is climb a lot then descend... so shoould i go with the trailstar or vertstar upfront? :S

sounds like the peaks are getting the resurfacing treatment by the council..

I was at the Peaks on Saturday and was chatting to some of the riders who were also complaining about it. One decent is already tarmac smooth :(
Hopefully they won't touch the amazing Jacobs ladder decent.

The best thing you can do to slow it down / stop is to is write, email, tweet or Facebook the Peak District Council, if there is enough public concern, they may pause the work while they undertaken a public consultation exercise.

I binned it on that jump when I went to FOD! Luckily I escaped with cuts and bruises.

Is it known for being dodgy then?

Usually avoid it like the plague, because the landing is on an upwards transition and the slower way around. Not entirely sure why I wanted to go for it, because it really is crap.
