Yes, they are sealed cartridge bearings. But they are complete gash. Had them on the Angleset and replaced them with Enduro bearings. They don't rust and seize every time you cycle through a puddle.
Think I might start a DBair fund. Does anyone know whether they come with mountings? TFT site suggests so but CRC (fair bit cheaper to be fair) doesn't seem to mention them.
Don't say that I have the same headset!![]()
Hes not exaggerating, mine died on my first proper wet ride.
I got my replacement bearings from BETD. Do they not sell them anymore?
That bad? Is it one of the new DebonAir shocks?Dont bother with a RS Monarch, im literally trying to get my LBS to order a cane creek and bill Trek as Rockshox warranty is a joke

Yes. Waiting for delivery. The top bearing can be replaced with an Enduro one. They don't do a SS version of the 1.5" bearing though. I asked.![]()
What the hell is an enduro bearing for goodness sake?
If the headset bearings are going to pot after one wet ride I'd consider the seals top and/or bottom are useless or poorly designed and no "special" bearing will help.

Enduro is just a brand name.
The problem with the bearings that came in my Angleset is that the bearing cage was steel, not stainless steel so they rusted which obviously made them feel horrible. Swapped them out for some Enduro bearings from BETD and they'be been fine since.
so they dont help you knock 2/10ths off your strava times? i am disapoint.
even so, if theyre lasting 1 ride then thats some serious contaminant ingress.
Other peoples experience may be different. My wet ride was six hours of DH in constant rain
That's pathetically low failure point by any standard..
