I was talking to Ben the other day and he mentioned that they will be changing them... but here are the new production shots of the front triangle

Tech M4 is just a normal thickness pad, the V2 is deeper on a normal rotor your not using about 25% of the pad and can get the pad touching the rivets holding a floating rotor together.

I use an M4 on the rear as it has better feel.
 
I've had superstar pads on my elixir 5 and trail 9 brakes and they've been just as good as own brand, me mate has them on his xt brakes and no complaints from him either. Some peeps just have bad luck with em i guess.
 
I tried the red Kevlar ones. Gash would be a polite way to describe them. I took them up in their money back offer if you don't like them as I bought two sets.

I used them on a day at BPW and the rear brake was completely non functional at high speed. I switched to fibrax pads someone here recommended and my next trip to BPW was fine. I'm she a few others here have had issues with SS pads to.

Maybe my riding style and weight that added to it as I'm a bit of a chunker.
