anyone know the difference between a saint and XTR bb? (wont be paying full price so not worried there) only thing i can see is the length of the thread on the saint for chain devices.

going to give mine a bit of a strip down this weekend, a couple of weekends of riding in gritty gloop has made it sound like a bag of spanners.

anyone know on this too:

Was checking the pressure in my reverb yesterday and noticed when comnecting my shock pump I was getting some oil coming out of the valve.

Presumably that's not normal?

Think mine lets a bit of oil out, still working fine though. Suppose i should give it a service at some point not even looked at it since buying it, except for adding more air.

any of you guys use a soft shell jacket for riding this time of year? if so which one? Just after something warm enough and windproof to go over a baselayer... my hardshell is maybe just a bit to thin and cold!

Ordered some XO dh carbon cranks for a rather nice price. Came to fit them today and it turns out they are for 68/73mm bb even though the box says gxp83 which is what I ordered. To make matters worse the shop I ordered from is now out of stock

Anyone in the market for some nice shiney new cranks?

I'd get too hot. I get too hot with a baselayer and t-shirt on. Never wore anything more other than a waterproof which unless crazy rain I won't wear either.

Finally (hopefully) sold the Pitch, minutes later after someone trying to massively lower the cost. Just need to sell the forks now, and I can consider another full sus :D

I had some fun with a big sheet of vinyl, some masking tape and a stanley knife last night. The red bits were blue before.

I built my first set of wheels too, can't test them properly yet but they both took my weight with maybe 2 or 3 pings from a couple of spokes unwinding, I'm going to try and increase the spoke tension a bit tonight anyway until the spokes start twisting a bit much.

Got to wait until Santa comes before I can finish it :o

I use a Park cable cutter, it cuts hope braided hose easily but you still have to open the end out with a barb afterwards and roll it between your fingers to return it to a round shape. I think technique is important but haven't used a hose specific cutter.

Good skill with the vinyl there Andelusion.

Are you still buying your SC frames from the states? pretty sure i remember reading a while back you imported the last one. If you dont mind me asking where are you getting them from?

Ive just built my first set of wheels using the Roger Musson book. I built some 35 wide Nextie carbon rims but yet to ride the thing properly apart from a quick spin up and down the road.

Think the clown bikes:D finished now
