Same as this one here? http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/id18482.html

never used one of these things, whats the deal with em? essentially just lets ya use your bike indoors?

ah, it monitors all kinds of things.

sweet :)

Yep, exactly the same one, the Flow ergotrainer.

Aye, allows a bit of training indoors on your own bike rather than just sitting on some generic exercise bike in the gym.

The Flow seemed to be the best bet, was going to go for a slightly cheaper model but it would mean getting another cycle computer as the one on my bike is wireless. Plus, m8 has got a Flow and I've had a go on it, its very good.

You can also if required, upgrade it to iMagic standard with an add-on which lets you use the VR ability with real life/real time video so you can do the Giro de Italia in the comfort of your own garage!!!. :D

I've got the old version of that, very good, the new one looks better still... Tons of space, you can cram in or hang on tons of stuff, great for longer rides. I've got a Chaos as well, which is fantastic- very compact, very narrow, so you forget it's there on the move but it's not as spacious and carries less water so more for shorter rides or trail centres. Camelbaks are awesome

very nice esp when the weather is dire.
I use a Cycleops Magneto, niice and easy to set up, plus my specialised computer is driven of rear wheel so i get speed and rpm on the turbo which is good.
Realy want to get a powertap, keep watching ebay for em.
Currently lying on my back after having a lumbar puncture yesterday so no bike for a while

Ouch!!!

That'll put the kybosh on any riding for you for a while!!.

Get well soon!! :D

cheers. im fine till i stand up, then iy feels like my neck is being squashed and the headaches kick in. all that from taking 10ml of fluid out of my spine!!

Once im over this time to get the road miles in ready for the TT's and sportive.

Pfft at using a trainer, I did a metric today in -5C with windchill of -13C. :p

See, thats what happen's when you hurl your self down hill sides on bikes with 8ft of suspension at both ends, brain cells come adrift and you do silly things like go outside in ridiculous weather conditions ;)

Where as roadies have some sense and spends hours in the garage or the back room chasing numbers on computers while going no where quickly and sweating like a gawd knows what in the hope of knocking seconds off a race that'll no doubt be held on a very windy day:(

At least today i can walk around just about normally and turn my head from side to side with out grimacing in pain.

Just got my Rockhopper Comp tonight and went for my first bike ride in about 12 years, only a few miles in the snow but loved it. One stupid question though with disc brakes (Juicy 3's) if you want to take the wheels off do you need to disengage anything on the brakes or should the front wheel just drop off?

It'll just slide out- you need to back off the quick release to get past the lawyer tabs but that's all. But NEVER PULL THE LEVER WITH THE WHEEL OUT or you will regret it.

Nice bike mister!

:D

I normally take the first picture on the sofa in the lounge but my misses was home :D

Planet X SL Pro Carbon frame + fork
Dura-Ace mech's + shifters/brake levers
FSA Gossamer MegaExo compact chainset
Dia-Compe brakes (BRS-100 IIRC)
Planet X Model B semi-aero wheels
Planet X alloy seat post
Planet X alloy stem
Planet X saddle
FSA alloy bars
Schwalbe Lugarno tyres

8.2kg without the bag.

My first road bike since I had a 10 speed racer when I was a kid, so being used to MTBs, it goes like stink!

Today, for one day only, I was the fastest man on the road :D Not really the ideal commuter under most conditions...

Anyone got any thoughts on what's a decent trail/am/fr hardtail frame? I was looking at the Kinesis Pha5e, but it appears to be discontinued now and the Cove Stiffee is a bit on the pricey side, so looking for other options........

There's a picture of one just above your post :) On One 456, or Scandal if you want something a bit lighter and more civilised, but a wee bit less strong. Santa Cruz Chamelon is brilliant too, though a bit too spendy for what it is really
