Just picked up some Conti Travel contacts for the commute during the week since I was tearing up winter tyres on the roads.

Huge difference to general road riding, can't believe how much quicker my cruise speed is. Well worth the trouble of swapping them over if I go offroad on a weekend. :)

You've failed to realise this is when you should have bought another bike :D

We all cant be like you with 6 bikes :p :D

The remedy is on the list for me as a second bike - for everything else as it were, but it will have to wait for now.
It's a close call though between the remedy and the Morewood Ndiza - which theoretically is a 4x bike

You sir, have far too much money :p

Mine again, updates, now with Mavic Aksium wheels and mud guards, been through a lot this bike, done about 6000+ miles now, well the frame has, maybe the handlebars too.. the rest has probs seen 2000 max :\

Not at all, it's pipe dreams, this might not materialise for a year :p

Out of interest, how did you find your stiffee frame? Finally managed to see one in the flesh the other day and was really dissapointed to see that its finished with decals and the paint seemed to be easily marked judging by the display model. Seems to be taking the mickey a bit for a £500 frame..

Fantastic little bike - couldnt fault it. Still very tender spot for me that bike gotten stolen. It climbed just fine with the seat up, jumps were a joy and it decended lovely.

For reference, my hand made £3295 frame/fork and shock are also all decals, make of that what you want, but I *think* only mass produced frames etc get the logo's etc sprayed on (Specialized is mass produced in Taiwan). Cove is also far from mass produced (small'ish canadian company afaik)

Got myself a new helmet today, can't wait for it!
HATE my Specialized deviant carbon, maybe because my melon is too big for it - but I just really didnt take to it since the beginning.

THE industries Twisted Vine carbon

Why do they call it an 18 speed bike when it has 9 gears? Look, three plus 6.

But it doesnt have 9 gears - it has 18, because it has a double chainring. So 9 Speed casette X double chainring = 18

I still say 3 + 6 = bike pics (cockney rhyming slang) :D

Ooh, there's an 08 frame on my local gumtree, not sure if it's worth it as an upgrade over my On One but I'm sooooo tempted. It must be an entire month since I bought a frame :D

Has anyone ridden at Aston Hill in Wendover Woods?

Looking at getting back into MTB soon and this is my local trail centre - is it any good??

It's fantastic, great for all skill levels, the people there are super friendly and always up for helping out.

There is also a guy there on a white Morewood Makulu - look out for him. You might need to squint your eyes, hes that fast, talks with a South African accent, nickname is "lightning" coz hes that fast :D

I was completely truthful about suitable for all skill levels, helpful people and a guy on a White Makulu with an accent (me), the rest was mad up :P
