I work in IT. Recently left my job so I can set up my own business next year. I can't say what it is on these boards, although I will say it involves sport.

Waiting for Magura Marta SL Mags. I fancied the new Hope Race brakes but they won't be out for another 5 weeks at the very earliest.

I'm considering the Avid Elixir CR Mags as an upgrade on one of my bikes, Marta's are also somewhere on the shortlist.

I got a bit put off by my pals Elixer RLC's. He managed to go through a set of Sintered pads every 2 rides. :eek:

Haven't ridden the CR's so they might be a lot better.

Edit: Weight of bike as is:

Just to add pedals, grips, brakes, sort the chain length and set up the suspension and gears.

Projected weight is now 22lbs 3oz. Sub 22lbs should be easy to do. :cool:

Hanging scales I've no problem with, but when it's specifically the PT hanging scales, then someone definitely has too much money!

Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask or has been asked lot before, Ive not been in the sport section for a long time.

My sister has just asked me whats the best bike to get for her boyfriend for £200 budget. She showed me a full suspension one in Argos and i told her to forget that as it'll be rubbish. But for that budget i have no idea, maybe just a basic one with no suspension?

He will be doing mainly road riding and offroad occasionally, so it would need to be a mountain bike.

She asked me how much my Giant XTC cost and nearly fainted when i told her so its £200 max
