Ouch!!. Glad to hear you are ok otherwise.

Well i went out to get some food, figured the bike would be easier, how wrong i was, i totally forgot that under the fresh snow was compacted 2 day old snow/ice, fingers will be fine, got them strapped up as they cant do nothing with them really. Ive learnt my lesson though.

Sorry to hear about your fingers. I was only off the bike for about 4 weeks with my broken finger before boredom got the better of me. I hope you aren't left handed?

Im a righty, it shouldnt keep me off the bike for too long i hope :(

I decided to cycle to work today aswell, whilst the snow was still on! It was pretty fun with only a back brake. Can't say I'd facy taking fire Xcs in the snow though

yea, what tyres would you like to be on in this weather?

I went out on my Fire XCs before and found them awesome! Got to look for the fresh virgin snow though, no tyre short of studs will grip in the slushy icey stuff.

Say hello to bike #6

Roi Monster frame, Dura Ace 7800, FSA Carbon crank, carbon K-38 wheels, pristine condition. Guy paid £4500 for it, I paid £1500 :D

Sorry, I have to quote that again, just because it is monumentally pretty and I'm so jealous.

Must resist looking on eBay.........

Actually, anyone got any experiance of singlespeed cyclocross bikes? I'm thinking about adding one to the collection.

Roads around here can vary greatly, surface quality wise. There are however some nice routes to be found locally. One I like is from my place out to Bowtrees, along through Airth continuing to Fallin, left at Stirling up past Bannockburn bus garage, road to Torwood through Plean and back to Larbert. Its a big loop that measures about 26 miles. It's my favorite training route, locally.

Theres some cracking roads out towards Fintry and Fankerton as well.:)

Finding it annoying not being able to get out on the roads and train what with the crummy weather we have been having. Rain and wind don't phase me at all but the ice recently has been treacherous. Left the house at 6.00am one morning last week on my usual commute and thought "Hmmm, this looks a bit slippy?" then promptly slid on my backside at the bottom of the hill at the end of my street when the front wheel just tucked under on black ice.

My Tacx Flow is sat here glaring at me every time I walk past it. :p

Curious, is your C2C the carbon framed one?.

it is mate, can meet up if you want and show you the C2C and the ROI, perhaps go for a ride?

I'm cycling to and from work everyday on my hybrid at the moment. Not fallen off yet and only really had one or two drifting moments. Really enjoying it actually.
