Fitted a PG990 cassette to my Enduro today, matches the brown/red colour scheme quite nicely :D (red grips and hubs). Spent yesterday trying to get it off, realised today I'd actually been turning it the wrong way so tightened it to hell :o Needless to say the only remedy was to clamp my entire old cassette in the vice (nackered chain whip) whilst still attached to the wheel and go at it like crazy with an extra long wrench.. you live and learn.

Anyway the new one looks nice on my bicycle :D

My word, its just got even more confusing with the new Shimano and Sram stuff :p

For a new bike build, I'm planning on getting one of these. I can get a decent discount from a mate at a local store. This bike will be the component's donor that will go onto a Cove Handjob XC frame. Total cost for both the bike and the frame will come in at around £1200ish.

Sound good to you lot?

Why not just stick with the boardman frame?

I just got my set from deal extreme, I ordered the one with helmet mount and the one without it just to see the difference between them.

btw my order took nearly 8 weeks to arrive.

Are they the 900 lumen ones?
I assume they're too bright for road use (there are a few points on my commute without any street lighting)?

Always loved the look of Cove frames. Talking to another friend, hes interested in buying the Boardman frame. I was under the impression that the Cove is better in build quality and weight.

I'd go with the Cove, purely because my Stiffee was absolutely blinding

R.I.P Mr Stiffee - never forget :(

Built myself a wheel truing stand today.
It's nowhere near as accurate as a proper one, but should be good enough for putting together a few wheels and removing any big buckles.
It going to be better than my turbo trainer with pen taped to it anyway :P

Nice handywork there! :)

Daft questions incoming:

Ive not had a bike with many gears for a while and I'm looking to put a front shifter and mech on Mbuzi and want to know what bits I need?

I only want a double ring set-up so:
I need one of these http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/mountain-bike-front-derailleurs/xt-770-front-mech.html

I need another chain ring (smaller e.thirteen one than I have now)
I need a shifter (XT 770 LH shifter)
Bash ring

that's all right?

Have you got a shortened BB axle since you've only been running a single ring?
