I'd go with the Cove, purely because my Stiffee was absolutely blinding

R.I.P Mr Stiffee - never forget :(

Any excuss to post my beloved steed!

I just got my set from deal extreme, I ordered the one with helmet mount and the one without it just to see the difference between them.

btw my order took nearly 8 weeks to arrive.

Was there a noticeable difference between them? I ordered 2 of the bike specific lights (ie the ones that mount to the bike) as i was led to believe they were a newer/more reliable 5 mode design and not the 3mode as per the helmet mounted version. I also bought the extra headmount/strap too so i have the option of fitting 1 to my helmet and 1 on the bike. Are you impressed with them?

My Boxxers have gone back to fishers without me even riding them this time.. Fault this time is it feels like i got an inch of "dead" on my forks, so when i lift my forks up they drop with a clunk.. fun.:(

Jokes aside, I'm completely honest when I say that you need to buy yourself some BOS Idylle's (not RARE as its overkill) and you will have no more mechanical worries.Stiffer than Boxxers but less stiff than 40's. Completely butterly smooth with no sticktion and little to no maintenance. I have been in contact with the BOS ditributor (Roger Estrada from R53 engineering) and I can get those @ £1300. It sounds a lot but it's less than the 40's, and if you consider the running cost of Boxxers and 40's, they are actually a bargain.

Either way, very gutted for you bud.

Gutted mate, looks like a nice ride too... The Morewoods more than make up for it though I guess :)

They do, but I freaked out so much when it was stolen, my wife thought I was literally going to kill the first chavvy kid I see on the street... she wasn't much wrong either (this happened after my sick as SX trail got stolen)

I know what you mean, my very first decent bike, the original Orange P7 back in the mid 90's was nicked out of my garage, while it was locked to the wall... someone obviously knew what they were doing and where to find it.

Got me so angry that they'd obviously watched me ride it and even followed me home

Do you still need some pictures? Sorry Ive not been able to sort it yet, useless!

Although I might not have my Stiffee for too much longer if the Carbon 456 performs as well as the pre-production looks!

Ill keep my cove considering I've owned gas pipes before. think about it you pay for what you get. on one s are dc cheap quality scaffolding.

sorry about sperling. on phone. haven't got used to swype yet.

just back from doing my first XC trail and loved it, its been around 6 years since i was last on a bike so its still a bit new and my calf muscles have taken a real hammering LOL.
my chosen steed is a felt q220 a nice beginner bike methinks although i did try to change to the hardrock 2010 sport but they'd already shipped the felt, i may upgrade depending how seriously i get into it but so far so good :D

crud catchers for catching all that muck (the rear one was removed for cleaning), lizzard skins headset protector? not sure how good these things are but it was free so why not. and of course the pump and the back holds a puncture repair kit with canister and also a multi tool.

Where did you go?
I assume your over near aberdeen way? (NE Scotland?)

Goggles may be a bit bulky and heavy for xc riding. I just wear clear glasses. If your near a branch of HIS (elgin or turriff will be closest to you?) i got mine in there. About 5-6 quid. They are pretty light and stay on well over bumpy stuff.

Have you been to the moray monster trails? (near fochabers) I've heard its worth going but i dont have a car so i've never been myself. Might be worth a try if your looking for somewhere to go.

cheers m8, im actually in elgin :)
was out at torrieston walks which is good for begginers, so i'll get myself used to a few easy trails but fochabers is just a stones throw away so may be worth looking into :)

just checked out some youtube footage and looks awesome, winding walks not far away at all

Bolle safety glasses on ebay are great, and about £6.

Other options for keeping mud out of your face are a Mucky Nutz Bender Fender or an RRP Neoguard.
