Wow that is one nice looking bike wiiija :) . How much lighter is that frame than the aluminum frame?.

The frame comes in under 3lbs I believe, 200 -300 odd grams lighter than the alu version iirc, its the way it rides which is the biggest difference though, tis very forgiving.

I tried to bleed my back brake the other night, forgot my tube was at 50psi.....or something silly.......bleeding tube came loose and got a lot of dot 4 brake fluid all over my kitchen floor at 2am. That was not funny.

Reposted this in here as more chance of a replay than if on its own...

I have some Hope Mono M4 brakes with solid rotors and was wondering if it was worth upgrading them with Floating Rotors and braided hoses. Would i notice a difference in the braking ability.

At the moment iam running 200mm from rotor and 160 rear rotor on standard hoses.

You will save some weight (200mm floating rotor weighs around the same as a 180mm rotor)

The brake would be less prone to overheating and brake pump.

I bought my Mono M4 with a floating rotor and braided cable so can't comment on the difference. Come up to Aberdeen and have a go on mine and see if you think the difference is worth it. :p

Ask my mate to hold on to my bike last night so i can get the lights out of my bag, he then went trying to get up this little kerb thats about a foot high and grounded the crank on the kerb ! So now one of the teeth in my RaceFace crank is slightly scuffed/chiped by a tiny bit..................... :( Still rides fine but

Ah don't worry, I stacked my Trance the first time I took it out. Doh. There's quite a few marks on the cranks now from bouncing it round Wales and the Peaks.
