At that price, erm no. I've also heard of people breaking them :p.

yeah the chainring tabs break apparently, never seen it myself but heard of it, but the arms themselves are stronger than saints. There was a video somewhere cant remember where now that showed both saints and diabolus being tested for strength using a hydraulic arm applying force to the arms. Anyway the saints snapped first.

Saying that though id prob get the saints due to price :p

You wanna know what weight spring you need? well you gotta measure the stroke length of your shock. then put the infor in here http://www.tftunedshox.com/springcalc.htm along with your weight, the travel of your frame and the type of riding you do :)

all info is explained in that link :)

and diabolus look even better

They are clearly *****(nearly the type of muslim).

a lot more expensive than saint but full to use proper bearings in the BB so they fail a lot more than saint, the are heavier AFAIK but dont quote me,they use a stupid mounting system and as such people have had problems getting them back off(steeeeeeev on SDH for one) and they look good with the black and gold but they look industrial.

Saint = win. :)

I am of course,not biased.

oh well the isis is stilling plodding along on my bike :p

Finally got the Avid Codes fitted tonight and so far im very impressed with them. They feel so nice, not had chance to go for a ride yet though :(
They arent bedded in yet but so far they feel as powerful as my 6 pots were and dont feel grabby at all. Shall report back with more info after ive taken them for a decent ride :D

well had first ride with them today and they rock :D very powerful, but also very useable, well modulated. Though they arent for people with diet bikes :p though seen as i had mono6ti's before the weight is pretty much the same for me.
All in all fantastic brakes, real glad i joined the Avid brigade ;)

Finally got myself a dedicated steel, rigid singlespeed, beautiful frame and a lovely ride.
Pics are just after build, will be taking it on its first real adventure this afternoon in the stodgy northants mud, cant wait.

Looks 29er, is it. Although that seatpost height would then make you about 8' tall :D

I'm just about to go for a ride, the weather forcast is -8C, feels like -16C brrr.

Not been in here in a while.

So i decided to fit the new chain and cassette i got for my brothers bike as the old chain kept snapping(shimano chain joined using a chain tool without a new pin) but when i took off the cassette i was shocked to see the state of it.

I fitted the new cassette and chain but i think my mate shouted on me before i got it proper toight. So cut to me "going for it" in top gear.....then nothing, like a clutch.....i end up with sore nuts and a red face cause the lockring decided to unscrew. :(

Lesson learned,i went on to tighten it as tight as i could with a 1' adjustable spanner.

I have someone interested in buying my Heckler but I have no idea what to ask for it.

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8246213&postcount=1159

Spec:

2006 Heckler front Triangle (no marks), 2003 rear (a few scuffs)
2007 Fox DHX coil. - only ridden about 10times.
2005 Sherman Flick Plus
2005 Hope Mono M4, floating rotor, braided cable
2003 Hope Mini (new seals and pistons)
2004 XT Front mech (good condition)
2003 XT Rear mech (needs new jocky wheels badly, pretty scuffed)
2005 Sram Attack Shifters, light scuffing, RH indicator doesn't move)
2003 Hope Headset, as good as new, Headlock.
2006 Hope Stem
2006 RaceFace Atlas bars, cosmetic marking.
2007 Thomson Elite Layback post. As new.
2003 WTB SC OEM saddle. Worn in for comfort.
Hope XC hubs on DT Swiss EX5.1D's. Rear hub has new seals just fitted.
Yeti Grips.
2006 XT Cassete. has some life left in it yet.
2006 Sram PC990 Chain " "
2006 RaceFace Evolve XC chainset. new granny ring. bearings to be replaced under warranty.
2003 DMR V12's - bashed to bits.

I guess it's worth about £2500 new, so maybe £1200 considering some parts have hardly been used?

Well worth £1200, could do with it my self for my reablitation due to my shattered ankle but sadly might not ride again. Maybe auction site it if it falls through

£1200 sounds about right, be prepared to let it go for around a grand though, the second hand bike market is pretty poor, there are loads of bikes up for sale of a similar spec on forums that go for around the same, sometimes less.

Looks like a nice ride though, bet it's fun to chuck around the woods. Would be interested myself as it would be exactly what I'd like to ride but I have no riding buddies anymore :(.

Here's my beast. I can jump up things bigger than the bars on it ;)

Sorry about the image quality, my mate didn't know how to use my phone and kept shaking the camera about to give me nice blurry pics :(
