*** Big Fat Weight Loss Thread ***

Last year i had a HBA1c test with a result of 76
I refused to have any treatment and told my Dr i would be fix it and i do not want a type 2 diagnoses on my medical records.
4 months later 105kg down to 85kg and a HBa1c of 46.

Dr was shocked... I've not reversed it as i still get spikes but i'm controlling it with diet. I wont be happy until its reversed.

My diet is mostly a fasting diet. I'll have a Latte at home in the morning then wont eat until 9pm'ish which would be chicken with a dry rub or similar. I'd guess around 800 calories a day. But with some Carb cycling. The first few weeks my energy levels were all over the place but now I'm fine. Suppose my body is still getting the calories it needs. Just from the fat stores not the Pizza's
I do notice if i've not taken my supplements though. So i need to add in some more healthy options rather than just proteins.

Its a bit extreme but its working for me and to be honest not much different from my normal routine for the last 25 years. I've never been a breakfast eater... Very rarely ate lunch. Being my own boss and working from home I was just too busy to notice.
I'd put on weight by being ravenous come 7-8pm and only a 12inch deep pan pizza would fill the hole...

Down to 11st 11lb now, and another good shift at work.

Well colour me surprised. Got back from Spain yesterday and weighed myself first thing this morning at 96.05kg. When i weighed myself just before we went away i was 98.55kg, so did actually lose a bit whilst away (although that 98.5kg was an anomaly looking and 96-97 seems to have been the standard)

Given i'm coming off a 4 day road trip which has consisted of pastries for breakfast/lunch and then something unhealthy usually for tea. I'm hoping it might even be a fairly quick drop in the next few weeks as i don't drink anywhere near as much. The main factor will be snacking again. I didn't do much in Spain, but here there's a local shop open till 9pm only a 2 minute walk away that always gets tempting!

Good weight spike for me after holiday! I'm at 90.3 this morning which isn't as disastrous as it could have been! Back to being sensible and not having a mini dessert platter with every meal!

Well. My first day of being healthy hasn’t gone to plan. MFP is showing 1738kcal over target.

The kids had white toastie warburtons in. So I managed 4 slices of toast for breakfast and then more for sandwiches at dinner.

Then had a big roast for tea and in between my mother in law brought me some cream cakes and beer as a late birthday gift!

I just love that toastie bread with a ton of butter on. Haven’t had any for ages.

@Alice In Wonderland Oh god that sounds awful though!

Hoping today is actually the start of being healthier. Have just thrown out the suggestion to the wife of skipping lunch. Having porridge around 11am and then just waiting till tea. We always struggle to think of stuff to do for dinner so this might work for us.
It has been horrendous to be honest! Hoping a new medication will help shift it but it's not been fun and I've been extra miserable and moody!

Although if any of you are constipated, I discovered that having proper bone broth, helps you go!! It's the collagen that wraps itself around or something like that.

But after 5 days of nothing, 2 cups of bone broth yesterday (as I read it can help heal your stomach) and today, it just kept on coming!! Lol!!
