Lovely old Bike, Can you still get parts for those ? From my era so Yep I love the old Trials & Enduro bikes & would love an old DT175.

Weathers mint here today & I have the day to myself so guess what I'm going to be doing all day. :D

Yes the parts are still available, there are a few shops in the uk that stock parts.
Yeah some aren't cheap, like £160 for a piston and ring kit, but there in a very low state of tune so they last a long time, if everything working correct.
Most parts are reasonable prices for an old bike.

Well, my Hornet's left fork leg is officially dead and I can't find any 2nd hand ones on eBay. I now have a bike with no forks, using up both my abba superbike stand and front lift taking up space on the driveway (can't move it into the garage because it's on the stand, unless I figure out some way to roll it back on some sticks or something).

**** old bikes. Had enough of them. This confirms why I buy new and keep on top of maintenance from the start. Had nothing but stuck and siezed parts since I got the thing.

is it the 16in front wheel or the 17in front hornet ?
wont the cbr600 41mm forks fit

I don't know the exact model which will fit but if you feel like splashing out :p

I've got some cheap ones but I've gone off them, I'm going to order some Rizoma circuit 744 mirrors and a tail tidy and small numberplate are being ordered soon. :)

Sounds good :D

proplates do good show plates. It seems a bunch of them closed the show plate part of their business recently.

Out of stock (and expensive!) :( gonna keep an eye on eBay I think and store the Hornet until I find a decent deal. There's some bent 1998 forks listed on eBay which look identical... I wouldn't go for bent forks, but it makes me wonder if the 1998 ones are the same forks. Need to figure out how to tell, no idea if stuff like the spring etc. might be different.

Nice :D

New mirrors next.

And get a freaking tail tidy, please! Don't do a Kreeee on me :p

+1!

My mate who I use to ride with came around, wanted to see the bike. So I got her out and did a circle around the car park.

Apparently its loud :D I don't think this exhaust would pass its MOT without the baffle. :p

I've seen and heard a loud SV that looks like that go down the A1 from Biggleswade the other day. Coincidence? Or the same one?

You sure? :p

Yeah, I'm certain. :p I wouldn't risk it now, the days of going for joy rides when I was younger are a history now. I don't want to loose my car license and get a ban right before summer.

BTW My neigbhour bought a MT-01, that V-Twin sounds nioce! :D
