Lucky... What grade is your postcode?

Avoid MCE at all costs...

Damn, that's good for fully comp. You must live in a decent area. Either that or you're really old :p

That postcode grade thing isn't gospel, apparently I went from a D* to C but my insurance actually went up a little.

And definitely avoid MCE.

I was with MCE for my ktm and they were fine up until I came to get insurance on my triple but they wouldn't cover me because of how short id had my license.

No idea what grade my postcode is and I'm not old either haha, I'm 26 and live in an okish area. :)

I saw a white 15 plate street 675 today, looked nice. 7.5k new would be my only option, it needs to be 70kW from factory and from what I've read they can do a custom map and restrict it to 70kW.

So many interesting bikes that are 5-10bhp away from the legal limit...

Triple is 108 so far too powerful ;)

Filter through by selecting Triumph, have a look for yourself what bikes is within A2 cat. :p

You could argue that the bike is a legal A2 qualifying bike. :D

Edit:

But... 'The Street Triple comes as standard 79kW, and from the new shape onwards (2013/62 plate) you could order a 70kW version with 35kW restrictor direct from Triumph.'

93.871546216 BHP* If you want to be pedantic about it :p

Look at the goverment website, not some 3rd party site...

Yeah they make a special order lower power version, think you'd have to buy new though. I believe the camshafts are different which gives the slightly lower power.

True or cash market value

If it's an old machine though what's a suitable replacement? Similar value?

The bikes worth £800-£900 ish and there are a few CBRs going for that price on bike trader. If it came to it I'd be happy that I could get on another one for the price of the excess (if I'm at fault)

Yeah, apparently they turn to ******** when you need to claim. I'm just hoping I don't need to.

Has anyone ever found where you can buy replacement Yamaha keys with the immobiliser transponder? My bike only has 1 red and 1 black key and I would like to get another black key.

Im with MCE this year also.... massively cheaper probably because they never pay out lol, I hope I don't have to find out then go back with someone else next year....

:(:(:( Why would you do that, I died a little inside just reading that...

I think the avoid MCE thing is more to do with the LOL excesses and that's why they're cheap. £800-£1000 excess? No thanks!
