I give up on helmets, looks like I'm stuck with my trusty battered Shark S900C forever.
Got my new S900 today put it on and took it straight back off, I've never been so uncomfortable it's like it's a totally different helmet to my current one that fits like an old glove although the only supposed difference is that my new one lacks the air pump system in the cheek pads which I never use.

Every single part is interchangeable between the 2 lids but the new non 'C' version feels like a medieval torture device.

Sorry t hear that mate, funnily enough I was going to buy one when I was over in France - it did feel snugger. What size your you normally? I'm Medium, but felt a bit of a difference when trying it on.

I've got a big melon head so I'm around an XL, I can't believe they'd have changed the shell shape though so I've got no idea why there's such a difference.

I'm off into town in a bit to pop into the small shop in town and see what they've got.

Can anyone tell me what YouTube vloggers use to cover their speedo? I've read a few comments saying that the tape is see through for people but the camera picks it up as a black square.

Use a privacy filter for phones on your speedo, and then a polarising filter on your camera.

Make sure both are 90 degrees out of phase and then the speed will be completely opaque.

This won't work with just the privacy filter on the speedo as RJ does. You can pause any of his videos, up the brightness and then see the speed very easily.

Source: I've used both methods.

After a trip to the shops I have a head with expensive taste in lids. Shoei GT Air in large fitted like a glove with enough tightness to break in and still be good.

Just found helmet city selling one design for £299.99 so £200 less than the shop could do me the one they had for.

They're not as quiet as people say though and you will still need earplugs to avoid hearing damage.

The internal visor is also a bit pants if you live somewhere other than the UK :p

Other than that I am very happy with mine. It fits very well and is extremely comfortable.

I ordered some phone privacy screens yesterday and they are out for delivery now so I'll update when I get them.

Did you use them just for an experiment or a permanent solution?

£300 is a decent price for a GT Air. Some of the newer designs I've been looking at are well over £400.

Edit - agree on the earplugs.
It's a very good price to be fair. The plain colours are all around the £420 mark and the designs £500 else where.

I've been riding 2 and a half years now, had my full license 18 months, too early for a fireblade?
Nope!! Which one though? A 120bhp 90's 900RR or the 170bhp 1000 version?

I've been riding for 3 years, full license 2.5 years and haven't killed myself on a 140bhp/86ftlb Tuono yet :D
