Went with the NXR over the GT Air in the end.

Wanted the lighter weight and I prefer the Shakey rep over the only design that I could get the GT Air discounted in.

Now I just need a dark visor to go with it.

What happened to your other helmet? I swear you had a Shark and something else, a more premium lid or was that someone else? :confused:

I love that colour scheme, was seriously thinking about one a while back. The visor opening is huge on them, you barely feel like you're wearing a helmet.

That was me. Got a Shark S900C that's now taken a few too many drops for me to trust it and had a Schuberth C3 Pro which was nice to begin with but the more riding I done it in the more it annoyed me it just wasn't quite right for me or the bike, the turbulent air would be trying to rip my head off unless I was kissing the tank at anything more than 50mph.

Sold the C3 for £250 the other day and went on the hunt for a new lid, tried the Shoeis on in a local shop and found they were the perfect fit for me but unfortunately the best price they could do was £499 on the GT Air so picked up the NXR from SBS for £299.

It does have a massive hole *snigger* there's almost no hint of the edge or the breath guard in your FOV that along with being 200g lighter than the Shark and nearly 500g lighter than the C3 make it a very nice place to be.

The only downside I can see is I like mirrored visors and they're £100 for this :eek:

I went to look at a possible new bike today - a VFR800fi pre-vtec in mint condition, 1 owner from new, that's 17 years as it's a 2000 model bike :eek:

Only thing stopping me was that I really could do with test riding one, but there's none near me at a dealer to test ride

I'll be doing 180 miles a week commuting so need to make sure it's suitable for that (happy at low speeds etc).

And I got 112 miles before the fuel light came on, on the Tuono

Can't you just leave him the money whilst you go for a test ride and tell him that if you bin it you'll pay for the damage or buy it off him? That's what I did when I was selling my KTM, made it really clear that I won't give all the money back unless the bike comes back in the same condition he rode off on.

You aren't riding it hard enough

I definitely need a 1000cc bike, got done by a Mistubishi Evo 8, probably kicking out over 400bhp, this thing just pulled away so quick, even hard acceleration i had no chance of keeping up with it. Annoyed me

I did lose to an RS6 though... that thing was pretty much keeping up from the light to 70 and then it started pulling in front.

Edit

Although EVO has a good 4x4 and short gearing, its pretty much a rally car that you can use on the road. lol

Could be even more i'm not sure, i was full throttling it and it kept pulling away, i got to around 100mph an backed off as the wind was too much on my neck.

The EVO engine can take more abuse/power than Scooby, I've seen loads pushing out 900-1000bhp+, have a look at 1320 videos for examples.

@Clov!s Just get a Tuono or RSV4, I doubt you'll complain about lack of power or bad handling. Both bikes are absolute beasts

I've been looking at the Tuono 1000 V4 and the BMW S1000R, both are options though still very different bikes. Too many choices, at least if i pick the wrong one, i'll just swap it
