The Yamaha 'Revs Your Heart' tour was at my local cafe today, didn't even know. Was going past and pulled in to see what was going on, ended up test riding a Tracer 900 which was fun :)

That'll be Ryka's, Box hill then :D

I'm going there tomorrow, will hopefully test ride an R1 :D And probably also the XT1200 Super Tenere. I've ridden the MT07, MT07 tracer and MT10 in the previous 2 years.

Yeah Ryka's :) I go there every now and then to have a look around the bikes and a drink, don't really know anyone there but it's something to do on a usually empty day. Was pleasantly surprised by the event and didn't think they'd let me on any of the bikes as i'd only passed last month. The chap sorting out the test rides wanted to know what I was riding and then said I could go on the Tracer, didn't want to try my luck with the MT's or R1 :D It was very quiet today, I was on a test ride after being there 10 minutes. They had a couple of R1M's to test too :)

Nice! Yeah they're pretty good for test rides, I've been a few years, rode the MT07 (A2 version) in 2014 in their learner off road bit before I'd passed my test, then the MT09 and tracer in 2015, and the MT10 last year. It's the best bike cafe near me too, even though I'm a minimum of 45 minutes away.

Jeez, not good. Get well soon!!!

Another biker friend of mine just had a bad off. Airlifted, couple of ops, punctured lungs etc :( Be careful out there guys.
Thanks, met 6 bikers whilst being in hospital. 2 of my mates came off whilst I was in hospital, one ended up in intensive care, but he's alright now.
Christ, all the best fella, hopefully you pull through ok!
It'll take around 6 months to heal, should be able to walk within a month or two.

Ah decent, i'm only in Epsom so I may or may not pop back tomorrow and try and argue my way on to an MT10 :D

@Sin_Chase Did you have your Satnav hard wired via the canbus lead on your S1000r? Was it easy to do or was it fitted for you?

I did indeed. Was super easy. I got a canbus fly lead from my dealer (Part No 80000611656)
Nippy Norman's also sell them but it was cheaper for me via dealer.

Just splice the +12v and earth to GPS hardwire cable and plug in (under left fairing)

I used some weather proof automotive plugs to do the join between GPS and CANBUS leads.

Cheers, I've wired it up directly to the battery but I think I'll go with the canbus option.
