No reason at all why you can't do that lot. The order in which you do some of it will make more of a difference. I suggest draiing the coolant and unbolting the botom of the rad to do the front spark plug. if you find there is not enough space then take the rad off. Once done you can put it back together and then replace the coolant.

Why are you replacing the hoses? is it because the look like they need replacing or because the service says to do so?

THanks for the advice :) I'll think it all through before i do any of it to hopefully save any headaches. and hoses just because service says to do so. If they all look perfectly fine I may leave them?

The only reason I consider changing my coolant hoses every now and again is because I get distracted by some shiny coloured Samco hoses, it's the same reason I switched to gold braided brake lines :o

Although there is a chance I'm going to have to sell the bike so I'm only spending the money on maintenance rather than bling at the minute :(

Ideally need a car as soon as possible and selling the bike would mean I could pay the ludicrous insurance off in one saving me about £700.

I'm still trying to figure another way out short of selling body parts because I'll be gutted if I have to lose the bike.

My bike costs me £150 the cheapest I can get for a car is around £1k or nearly £2k if I need to pay monthly. Mental money.

When I was 18 yo, I paid £1009 for a 1.6 Civic. Now I'm 20 and it's 1400 for the same car. I can get insured on Toyota Yaris 1.3 for 800, I think I'll go with that... the less I spend on car and insurance the faster I can save up for a trackbike and trackdays.

I wouldn't mind so much but it's more expensive for me at 29 than it was for my sister at 17 and I've already got 3 years on the road experience.

Considered somethat that can go on a classic policy?

I was paying £1200 for a 1.0 Micra, now my '95 MX5 1.8 costs me £350 a year. Limited to 5000 miles a year, but no black box and suits me fine.

What insurance company? I've tried to get some quotes and no none of them would even give me a quote...

BTW How old are you? :p

I think, I might have to have another operation. Feels like one of the pins is blocking the movement, looked at the x-rays and one pin where it feels like its blocking seems to be too far out. :/

That doesn't seem right. I only pay £350ish a year fully comp on a 2.0l Fiesta ST. Think the most I ever paid was £1400 and that was on a 1.4 Corsa when I was 19

Ah man that sucks. Insurance is such a con. Have you tried putting other people on your policy such as a partner or parent who drives? That'll drive down the cost.
